국문 초록

본 논문의 주된 목적은 지속가능 포용사회를 위한 성인교육 철학적 바탕으로서의 예수 그리스도 사상을 재해석하는 데 있다. 최근 들어 전 세계적인 경제침체로 노동시장의 불안정성과 실업의 증가, 사회적 약자 계층에 대한 배제가 심각해지면서 포용사회를 위한 성인교육의 역할이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 유네스코 들로 보고서는 이미 포용사회를 위한 ‘더불어 삶의 학습’을 성인교육의 중요한 학습 원리로서 제시한 바 있다. 성인교육자로서의 예수의 사상 역시 포용이 그 핵심을 이루고 있다. 그러나 인본주의에 기초한 유네스코 보고서의 포용과 예수의 사상은 포용의 당위성에서는 일치하나 포용의 이유와 목적에 있어서는 차이가 노정된다. 예수 그리스도의 사상을 성인교육학적으로 고찰하는 연구의 의미가 여기에 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 예수 그리스도를 성인교육자로 정의하는 논거를 제시하고, 이어 유네스코 포용교육의 철학적 바탕을 예수의 사상과 비교 논의하였다. 이를 바탕으로 예수의 포용사상을 관점전환을 통한 타인의 발견, 공동체성과 실천적 포용교육, 포용사회를 위한 해방교육, 포용사회로서의 만남의 성인교육 등 네 가지 측면에서 고찰하였다. 결론에서는 종교적 차원을 넘어 예수의 포용사상이 성인교육학 연구에 지니는 의미에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The main purpose of the paper was to reinterpret Jesus Christ’s thought as a philosophy of adult education to achieve the sustainable inclusive society. Recently along with the labor market instability and the increase of unemployment and aggravated exclusion of the socially disadvantaged mainly stemmed from the global economic slump, the role of adult education for the inclusive society has been increasingly emphasized. UNESCO Delors Report already suggested ‘learning to live together’ for the inclusive society as an important pillar of adult education. The core of Jesus’ thought, as an adult educator, is also composed of inclusiveness. However even though both the Delors Report based on humanism and Jesus’ thought have in common in justifying the inclusiveness, the reason and purpose of the inclusiveness is totally differentiated. The study starts with defining Jesus Christ as an adult educator, and then compares the philosophical basement of the UNESCO report with Jesus’ inclusive thought. The paper then examines Jesus’ thought on inclusiveness from the four viewpoint of adult education, that is, the discovery of others through perspective transformation; community and practical inclusiveness education; liberation education for inclusive society; and existential meeting education for inclusive society. In conclusion the paper discusses the meaning of study Jesus’ thought, beyond the religious dimension, from the viewpoint of adult education.
