예술중점학교 발전을 위한 모형 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예술중점학교 운영의 성과와 문제점을 토대로 중점학교 운영의 발전적인 방향 및 3가지의 발전 모형을 제시함으로써 향후 예술중점학교 운영을 위한 바람직한 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 제시된 예술중점학교 모형은 다음과 같다. <모형 I>은 현재의 모형을 유지하되, 드러난 문제점을 개선 보완하는 형태로서, 현재의 운영 방식을 점진적으로 개선해 나갈 수 있는 장점을 지닌다. <모형 II>는 예술중점학급 학생들을 위한 예술교육 프로그램에 큰 변화를 주지 않으면서, 일반 학급 학생들에게도 예술교육의 기회를 부여함으로써 학교 전체가 예술중점교육에 동참하도록 하는 모형이다. 이 모형의 장점은 예술중점학급은 물론 일반학급 학생들도 예술교육을 통한 효과를 얻게 된다는 데 있다. <모형 III>은 1학년 과정에 예술중점 예비학급을 선발하여 1년간 다양한 예술교육을 받은 후 2학년 진급 시 예술중점학급과 일반학급 중 진급할 학급을 결정하게 하는 방안으로, 예술중점교육은 2~3학년에서 집중적으로 이루어지게 되며, 1학년 과정에서는 예술중점 예비학급과 일반학급 학생들이 예술교육을 공통으로 받게 됨으로써 부적응자를 최소화할 수 있는 장점을 지닌다. 향후 예술중점학교가 더욱 발전해 나가기 위해서는 지속적인 재정 지원, 유능한 담당교사의 확보, 관련 기관(교육과학기술부, 교육청, 지방자치단체, 지역사회 및 해당 학교) 사이의 밀접한 협조 체제의 구축 등의 과제가 해결되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide three models and suggestions for development of Arts-Specialized School. Model I, maintaining and improving the current system, has strong point of stability. In Model II the students of Arts-Specialized Class have almost same curriculum of Model I. But the general-class students can participate in various arts classes. Because all of the 1st grade students have arts classes together, they might build artistic abilities and creativity regardless of their specialty. Model III emphasizes the investigation process about students artistic aptitude and the integrative learning between arts and general subject area. The students of preliminary class of Arts can decide their way (of arts class or general class) before they move up to the 2nd grade. And some students of general classes can have opportunities of transfer to arts class. An important point of Model III is to help some students who do not want to be in arts class, providing a way of transfer to general classes. The project of Arts-Specialized School has shown some positive results through the past 2 years. Students, parents, and teachers who are participating in this schools, generally speaking, were satisfied with the system and contents of the schools. If we continously improve the system of Arts-Specialized School, the schools could have a function of innovative role in Korean total school system.
