국문 초록

교육 분야 인공지능(AI: Artificial Intelligence) 기술의 활용은 정체된 분야의 혁신을 위한 막연한 낙관에 기반한 도구적 관점, 학교 중심의 기술 활용, 분야별 교육에 대한 산발적 투자라는 특징이 있다. 본 논문에서는 학교 중심의 교육관보다 인간의 삶 전체에 편재하는 교육을 아우를 수 있는 통합적이고 포괄적인 교육관을 탐색하여 인공지능 시대 교육 분야 미래 시나리오를 만들어야 함을 논한다. 이를 위하여 교육을 인간 삶의 보편적인 양상으로 보는 <교육본위론>을 이론적 관점으로 택하여 인공지능 시대의 교육에 대하여 논의를 시도해 보았다. 인공지능 시대의 인간은 인적자원으로서의 가치는 불투명해 수 있으나, 그러한 인간의 교육적 삶은 오히려 경제발전을 위한 수단적 관점으로부터 자유롭게 될 가능성이 있다. 또한 ‘상구’와 ‘하화’ 중 ‘하화’는 인공지능 서비스로 대체될 가능성이 다분하고, 인공지능에게 배운 새로운 세대가 등장할 것으로 예측된다. 마지막으로 인공지능 시대에는 교육 분야 AI의 설계와 활용을 위하여 ‘교육적 가치’가 재조명될 수 있다.

영문 초록

The use of the technology of AI(Artificial Intelligence) in the education sector shows the characteristics of being instrumental, school-centered, and sporadic in terms of innovation and investment. The article intends to argue that a future scenario of education in the era of AI needs to be made on the theory that encompasses the educations of various fields. Humans living in the era of AI might lose their value as economic resources having more possibility to be freed from being the means of economic development. Still unknown is whether humans would be able to bring about favorable changes to education in the conditions to be given. It is also predicted that descending education might be replaced by AI rather than ascending one that touches unique experience of individual human being. The appearance of the future generation learning from AI tutor calls for research of new phenomenon in the education between AI and humans. Lastly, the design of the AI in the educational sector by the engineers questioning the domain knowledge could shed some light on the educational value as well.
