국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영유아 자녀를 둔 맞벌이 부모의 양육경험을 내러티브 질적 연구 분석방법을 통해 탐색하여, 그 경험의 의미를 기초로 저출산 극복을 위한 맞벌이 부모됨 적응증진 프로그램을 개발하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구를 위한 자료수집은 2018년 7월부터 12월까지 서울 및 경기 지역에 거주하는 6세 이하의 자녀를 둔 맞벌이 부모 7쌍의 인터뷰를 통하여 진행하였다. 맞벌이 부모의 양육경험의 의미는, 1) 상호보완적인 의사소통으로 결속력 있는 부모로 성장 중, 2) 조부모 의존적인 양육으로 부모는 경제적인 역할에 치우쳐감, 3) 부부 대화 능력 및 시간 부족으로 가정불화가 커지고 자녀들의 건강한 성장을 위협함, 4) 부모로 준비되지 못해 전문적인 부모교육을 필요로 함 등으로 분석되었다. 따라서 향후 맞벌이 부모의 성공적인 부모됨과 긍정적인 양육경험을 도모하기 위해서는 전문가에 의한 부모교육을 제공할 필요가 있으며, 특별히 자녀돌봄에 대한 지식과 정보를 통합적으로 제공하는 교육뿐 아니라 부부간의 의사소통증진을 도모하는 부모됨 적응증진 프로그램이 필요하다고 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the early-parenting experiences of dual-income parents of infants and toddlers through narrative qualitative research method. Based on the meaning of experience, it was carried out to develop dual-income parental adaptation program to cope with low birthrate in Korea. In-depth interviews were conducted in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province from July to December 2018 from 7 pairs of dual-income parents of children aged 6 years or under. The Followings are the meaning of early-parenting experience of dual-income parents, 1) Dual-income parents grow to cohesive parents through complementary communication, 2) Grandparent-dependent parenting causes parents inclined toward providing economic support primarily, 3) The lack of talks and time between husband and wife exacerbates family disagreement and threatens the healthy growth of children, 4) They require professional parent education and resources because they have become aware of their lack of preparedness as parents. Therefore, it is necessary to provide parental education by experts in order to achieve successful parenting of dual-income parents and positive early-parenting experience in the future. In addition to education that provides integrated knowledge and information about child care, the parental adaptation promotion program to promote productive and mature communication between husband and wife is needed in the future.
