국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아의 기질과 부모의 정서사회화 행동, 유아의 마음이론 간의 관계를 알아보고 유아의 기질과 부모의 정서사회화 행동이 유아의 마음이론에 미치는 영향력을 규명하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 부산시에 위치한 유치원과 어린이집 9개소에 재원 중인 만 4, 5, 6세 유아 173명과 그들 부모이다. 부모를 통해 유아의 기질과 부모의 정서사회화 행동에 대한 자료를 수집하였으며, 유아를 대상으로 마음이론 과제를 실시하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 빈도와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차를 산출하였고, 편상관분석과 일원배치 분산분석, Schéffe Test, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아의 기질 중 수줍음과 공격성은 마음이론과 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 또한 어머니의 정서사회화 행동, 아버지의 정서사회화 행동과 마음이론은 유의한 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 유아의 마음이론에 영향을 미치는 유아의 기질 및 부모의 정서사회화 행동으로는 유아의 수줍음 기질과 어머니의 부정적 정서표현, 정서반응, 정서지도로 나타났다. 또한 아버지의 긍정적 정서표현, 부정적 정서표현, 정서반응, 정서지도가 유아의 마음이론에 영향을 주었다. 본 연구는 유아의 마음이론 발달에 기여하는 변인들의 영향력을 규명함으로써 유아기 마음이론 수준을 높이기 위한 부모의 지도전략 수립 및 실천에 실질적인 정보를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The major purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a child’s temperament and parent’s emotion-related socialization behaviors on the child’s theory of mind. A total of 173 children at the ages of 4, 5, and 6 were enrolled in theory of mind tasks and their parents responded to the questionnaires. For data analysis, we used frequency, Cronbach’s α, One-way ANOVA, the Scheffé test, partial correlation coefficients, hierarchical analysis. The results are summarized as follows. First, children’s shyness and aggression were correlated with the theory of mind. Second, there was a significant correlation between mother s and father’s emotion-related socialization behavior and the theory of mind. Third, child’s temperament and parental emotion-related socialization behaviors influencing the child’s theory of mind were revealed by the child’s shyness, mother’s negative emotional expressions, emotional responses, and emotional guidance. Fourth, father’s positive and negative emotional expressions, and emotional responses influenced the child’s theory of mind. These results could be used to establish and practice parent’s strategies for raising the level of the child theory of mind.
