국문 초록

이 연구는 음악과 교육과정에서 음악 비평의 적용 영역을 감상 영역뿐만 아니라 표현 영역과 생활화 영역으로 확대할 수 있는 가능성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저, 음악 비평의 의미, 대상, 역할 등을 살펴보고 학교 교육으로서 음악 비평 활동의 내용과 방법에 관해 알아보았다. 그리고 초등학교와 중학교 음악과 교육과정의 성취기준에 따라 표현, 감상, 생활화 영역에서 활용할 수 있는 음악 비평 활동의 예를 제시하였다. 음악 비평은 작품, 연주 그리고 음악과 관련된 제반 현상의 가치를 언어적으로 평가하는 행위 또는 결과물이다. 2015 개정 음악과 교육과정에서는 처음으로 비평 의 개념이 등장하였는데, 감상 영역에 한정되었다. 하지만 다른 학생들의 창작물, 연주, 음악에 관한 다양한 표현을 비평하는 활동, 가정, 학교, 사회에서 열리는 행사에서 음악이 활용되는 양상과 음악을 활용한 참여에 관한 비평 등 감상 영역뿐만 아니라 표현, 감상, 생활화 모든 영역에서 음악 비평을 적용할 수 있다. 이 과정에서 학생들은 다양한 음악 활동의 경험과 이를 통해 습득한 음악 지식을 총체적으로 활용함으로써 음악적 능력 및 사고력, 음악에 대한 태도, 생활화 등에서 더 큰 음악적 성장이 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the possibility of expanding the application fields of musical criticism in music curricula of elementary and middle schools to not only the field of appreciation, but also in the fields of expression and familiarization. For this, the history, type, meaning, subjects, roles etc. of musical criticism were examined through theoretical approaches. Then, examples of musical criticism activities that could be used in the fields of expression, appreciation and familiarization according to the achievement standards of musical curricula in elementary and middle schools were presented. Musical criticism is the actions or results of linguistically evaluating values on phenomena related to the pieces, performance and everything else related to music. The concept of ‘criticism’ first appeared in the musical education course revised in 2015 and it was limited to the field of appreciation. However, musical criticism can be applied to all of the fields of expression, appreciation and familiarization, not just appreciation regarding the mode of using music and participation using music in various activities that criticize expression or at events held at home, school and community for the creative pieces, performances and music of other students. It is expected that through the course of this, students will be able to comprehensively utilize their experience in various music activities and the knowledge the gain from this for greater musical development in terms of attitude and familiarization in music and their musical abilities and critical thinking power.
