교수내용지식(PCK)의 연구 동향에 대한 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 교사의 교수전문성 신장을 위해 PCK 관련 선행 연구의 국내·외 동향을 분석하고 향후 연구를 위한 시사점을 얻는데 있다. 이를 위하여 1986년부터 2011년 1월 사이의 국내·외 학술지에 게재된 연구 중 선정기준에 맞는 211편의 논문을 최종 분석대상으로 삼았다. 분석논문은 연구주제와 연구방법으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 연구주제는 과목과 내용으로 분류하였다. 과목은 국어, 수학, 사회, 과학, 가정, 기술, 지리, 역사, 영어, 체육, 도덕, 미술, 한문, 컴퓨터, 실과, 환경, 중복, 기타 중에서 과학이 74편(35.1%)으로 가장 많았다. 내용은 교사관련, PCK 특성, PCK 적용, 기타로 분류하였는데, PCK 특성에 관한 연구가 116편(55.0%)으로 가장 많았다. 연구방법은 연구유형, 자료수집 방법, 통계방법유형으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 연구유형은 질적 연구가 97편(46.0%)으로 가장 많았고, 자료수집 방법은 면담이 98편(34.4%)으로 가장 많았다. 통계방법유형은 기초통계, 중급통계, 고급통계로 분류하였는데, 이 중에서 기초통계가 61편(80.3%)로 가장 많았다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 교사의 교수전문성 신장을 위하여 추후 다양한 과목의 PCK 연구가 이루어져야 하며, 테크놀로지 교수내용지식(Technological pedagogical content knowledge, 이하 TPCK)에 관한 국내연구가 활성화되어야 할 것이다. 또한 예비교사의 PCK 관련 교육과 현직교사의 PCK 관련 연수도 활성화 되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze internal and external research trends of PCK and derive implications for future studies in order to help increase teaching professionalism of teachers. Toward this end, this study selected and reviewed 211 applicable papers out of ones that were published in Korean and international journals between January 1986 and January 2011. The papers were classified by research topic, content, and method and then analyzed. Research topics were categorized by subject―that is, Korean language, mathematics, social studies, science, home economics, technology, geography, history, English, physical education, moral education, art, Sino-Korean, computer education, practical arts, environmental education, repetition, and others. 74 out of the papers, which is the majority, was on science. This seems because PCK, suggested by Shulman, is particularly significant for the key contents and method of science education. Research contents were divided into teachers, characteristics of PCK, applications of PCK, and others, and the majority, 116, of the studies dealt with the characteristics of PCK. Research method were sorted into research types, data collection methods, and statistical techniques. In terms of research type, 97 papers were qualitative studies. 98 papers of all turned out to have used interviews to collect data. In terms of statistical technique, which was classified into basic, intermediate, and advanced statistical techniques, 61 papers employed basic statistical techniques. The results of this study indicates that as most studies of PCK have focused on a certain subject, future studies of PCK should be conducted dealing with various subjects. In addition, studies of PCK need to be vitalized through wide-ranging research methods and data collection methods. Studies of TPCK are insufficient particularly in Korea, so they should be invigorated. Studies of PCK education for pre-service teachers and relevant training programs are also required to be vitalized.
