원예치료프로그램이 지역아동센터 이용 아동의 자신감 및 자아존중감 향상에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 원예치료 프로그램이 지역아동센터를 이용하는 저소득 아동들의 자신감 및 자아존중감 향상에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 부산광역시 금정구에 위치한 아동센터를 이용하는 8세 이상 18세의(남아 14명, 여아 6명)저소득층 아동 20명(실험집단 10명과 통제집단 10명)을 대상으로 원예치료 프로그램 매주 2회, 60분씩 총 20회기로 3개월간 진행되었다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위해 사용된 도구는 고은주(2004)가 수정？보완 한 자신감 척도, 최보가와 전귀연(1993)이 개발한 우리나라 자아존중감 측정도구를 사용하였다. 원예치료프로그램이 아동의 자신감 및 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위해 T검정 대응표본과 비모수 검증방법 중 부호순위검정방법을 사용하였다. 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전 사후 비교를 위해 Wilcoxon검정방법을 실시한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원예치료프로그램은 저소득층 아동의 자신감을 향상시키는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 원예치료프로그램은 저소득층 아동의 자아존중감을 향상시키는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 원예치료프로그램이 지역아동센터를 이용하는 아동의 자신감과 자아존중감 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 함의를 논의하였으며, 추후 연구과제와 연구를 한계를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This research intended to verify the effects of horticultural therapy program on the confidence and self-respect of low-income children using child center. The subject was 20 low-income children (14 male children, 6 female students) at the age of 8~18, using child center located in Geumjeong-gu, Busan (10 students of experimental group and 10 students of control group). For them, horticultural therapy program was conducted total 20 times of 60 minutes for 3 months twice a week. The tools for verifying the effects of program were confidence criterion revised and supplemented by Ko Eunjoo(2004) and Korean measuring tool of self-respect, developed by Choi Boga and Jeon Guiyeon(1993). To verify the effects of horticultural therapy program on the confidence and self-respect of children, matched pairs signedranks test was used among the T-test matching sample and nonparametric test. For the pre-post comparison of experimental group and control group, Wilcoxon test was conducted. The results are as follows. First, horticultural therapy program was effective to improve the confidence of low-income children. Second, horticultural therapy program was effective to improve the self-respect of low-income children. Based on the results, it suggested the intervene measures that horticultural therapy program can improve the confidence and self-respect of children using community child center and finally, suggested limitations of this research and direction of following researches.
