유아를 둔 한국과 일본 부모의 양육태도 비교

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 문화적 배경이 서로 다른 한국과 일본 부모의 양육태도를 밝히는데 있었다. 연구 대상은 한국의 서울과 일본의 동경에 소재하는 유치원과 어린이집 (일본은 보육원)에 다니는 만 5세 반 유아를 둔 부모를 대상으로 하였다. 서울 시내의 7개 유치원과 어린이집에 다니고 있 는 유아의 부모 122명, 동경 도내의 11개 유치원과 보육원에 다니는 유아 의 부모 155명을 대상 으로 하였다. 심층 면담 조사는 질문지 조사에 협조한 양국 부모 중 아버지, 어머니 각각 15명씩 전체 60명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 한국과 일본 부모의 양육태도는 거부적 태도에서 의미 있는 결과를 나타냈으 며(아버지 t=-2.14, p<.05; 어머니 t=-3.06, p<.01), 자율적 태도에서도 의미 있는 결과를 나타 냈다(아버지t=-2.64, p<.05; 어머니 t=-3.74, p<.001). 즉 거부적 태도에서는 한국 부모가 긍정 적 태도를 나타냈으며, 자율적 태도에서는 일본 부모가 긍정적 태도를 나타냈다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find out difference in attitude of bringing up babies by parents of Korea and Japan. The subjects of this study were babies who a employ parents were 5 and a half years old attending kindergartens and Children's Homes (in Japan nursery school) in Seoul, Korea and Tokyo, Japan. The subjects of this study were 122 babies attending 7 kindergartens and Children's Homes in Seoul, Korea and 157 babies attending 11 kindergartens and nursery schools in Tokyo, Japan. In-depth interview survey was conducted on totally 60 persons including 15 fathers and 15 mothers respectively in both countries who responded to survey by questionnaires. The result of this study is as follows : In terms of difference in the attitude of bringing up babies between parents of Korea and Japan there was no difference between fathers and mothers of both countries in terms of affectionate attitude however in rejective and self-regulating attitude there was difference as follows : In terms of rejective attitude by fathers of both countries Korean fathers showed less rejective attitude of lower group than their Japanese counterparts as shown by difference of .10 in average points, t=-2.14 and at a level of p<.05 level. In terms of self-regulating attitude of upper group Japanese fathers showed less more self-regulatory attitude than their Korean counterparts as shown by difference of .12 in average points, t=-2.64 and at a level of p<.05 level.
