청각장애 어머니를 둔 경계선 지능 아동의 사회성 및 문제행동 개선을 위한 미술치료 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료가 청각장애 어머니를 둔 경계선 지능 아동의 사회성 및 문제행동 개선에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 F시에 사는 초등학교 5학년 여자아동으로 청각장애 어머니와 표현 없는 아버지, 청력이 안 좋은 동생을 두고 있다. 아동은 또래관계 부재, 형제갈등, 등교거부, 학습부진, 자기표현 미숙 을 보였고, 정서 및 인지장애 판정을 받았으나, 적절한 교육과 치료를 받지 못하였다. 본 미술치료는 자기표현 과, 정서적인 안정 및 사회기술 발달에 중점을 두어, 주 1회 회기 당 50분씩 총 33회기 실시하였다. 연구도구는 K-CBCL(한국판 아동⋅청소년행동평가척도), KHTP, KFD를 사용하여 사전, 사후 비교하였고, 미술치료 회기별 변화양상을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 미술치료가 청각장애 부모를 둔 경계선 지능 아동의 사회성을 개선하 는 데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 미술치료가 청각장애 부모를 둔 경계선 지능 아동의 문제행동 중 위축, 우울/불안, 사회적 미성숙, 주의집중문제, 사고의 문제를 개선하는 데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 제한점은 다른 장면에서의 변화를 비교하지 못한 점과 단일사례이므로 일반화하는데 어려움이 있다는 점이다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effects of art therapy on improving the social skills and behavior problems of a child with borderline intelligence whose mother had a hearing impairment. The participant was a fifth grade girl whose mother was hearing-impaired and whose brother had low hearing ability. Her father was poor in expressing his feelings towards the family members. The participant showed lack of peer relationships, sibling conflicts, truancy, low school achievement and poor self expression. The participant was diagnosed as emotionally and cognitively disabled, but was not given proper treatment. The art therapy program ran a total of 33 sessions, once a week, each session 50 minutes long with its focus on promoting the self-expression, emotional stability and social skills of the participant. The study instruments included K-CBCL, KHTP, and KFD. A pre, post, and follow-up test were conducted. Each session was observed for analyzing any change in the behavior. This study found that art therapy was effective in improving the social skills of the participant. Second, art therapy was effective in improving the participant's behavior problem such as withdrawnness, depression/anxiety, social immaturity, attention problems, and cognitive problems. The limit of this study lies in the fact that the findings were only from a household setting and only from one case study.
