집단미술치료 프로그램이 청각장애인의 자아존중감에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 집단미술치료 프로그램이 청각장애인의 자아존중감을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는지를 알아보고자하였다. 연구대상은 S시 소재 C기관 직업교육 프로그램에 등록한 청각장애인 훈련생들로 집단미술치료 프로그램 연구참여에 동의한 남 4명, 여 2명 총 6명으로 하여 집단미술치료를 실시하였다. 집단미술치료 프로그램은 총 12회기 3단계로 구성되었고 기간은 2010년 2월 8일부터 5월 10일까지 주 1회 90분 총 12회기 동안 진행하였다. 검사도구는 Coopersmith(1967)가 개발하고 김경연(1987)이 번안한 자아존중감 척도(Self-Esteem Inventory:SEI)를 사용하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 사전․사후에 따른 자아존중감의 차이를 보기 위해서 기술통계 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 집단미술치료 프로그램 실시 후 일반적 자아존중감, 사회적 자아존중감, 가정적 자아존중감에 대한 점수가 유의미하게 증가한 것으로 나타났으며(p<.001),전체 자아존중감도 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다(p<.001). 따라서 집단미술치료 프로그램이 청각장애인의 자아존중감에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study has attempted to find out whether the group art therapy program is effective in improving self-esteem for hearing-impaired people. The subjects of research are hearing-impaired vocational trainees who have registered in the vocational education program of C agency located at S city to perform a group art therapy on 4 men and 2 women who have agreed on the participation of group art therapy program research. The group art therapy was organized as a total of 12 session in 2 stages from February 8, 2010 to May 10, 2010. For research tool, SEI(Self-Esteem Inventory) developed by Coopersmith(1967) and adapted by Kim Keong-Yeon(1987) was used as a tool for measuring self-esteem and the gathered data has used the SPSS WIN 12.0 program while the descriptive statistics analysis have been performed in order to see the difference of self-esteem according to pre-test and post-test. The result of this study has shown that the score on general self-esteem, social self-esteem family self-esteem wear shown as being significantly increased after performing the group art therapy program (p<.001). The overall self-esteem was also shown as being significantly significant(P<.001). Therefore, the group art therapy program was shown as having positive effect on the self-esteem of hearing-impaired people.
