만다라를 적용한 집단미술치료가 시설아동의사회적 기술 향상에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 만다라를 적용한 집단미술치료가 시설아동의 협동과 자기주장, 자기조절, 공감을 배우고 이러한 변인들을 통하여 사회적 기술을 향상시키는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 J아동보육시설의 아동들의 사회적 기술 부족으로 인한 여러 어려움을 보이는 아동 10명을 대상으로 만다라를 적용한 집단미술치료를 주2회 120분씩 8회기를 실시하였다. 연구도구는 Matson의 아동 사회 기술 평가 척도 교사용과 아동용이며, 사전․사후검사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN Version 12.0 Program을 활용하여, 프로그램의 실시전과 실시 후의 평균 및 표준편차를 계산하고, 종속표본 t검정을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부정적 행동은 감소하고 긍정적 행동은 증가하였다. 둘째, 협동, 자기주장, 공감, 자기조절의 사회적 기술이 향상되었다. 본 연구를 통해서 만다라를 적용한 집단미술치료가 시설아동의 시회적 기술 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있다는 결론을 얻었다.

영문 초록

'This study purports to see if a mandala-based group art therapy can help institutional children improve their social competence by learning the skills of cooperation, self-expression, self-control, and sympathy. the study subjects are ten children residing in J Child Care Institute of D city, who have suffered from the lack of social skills. they were given the group art therapy program consisting of a total of 8 sessions, twice a week with each lasting 120 minutes. Matson's Measure of Child Social Skills (versions for teacher and for Child) was taken for posttest as well as pretest. SPSS WIN 12.0 was used for data analysis, adopting the methods of average and standard deviation between pretest and posttest results, and dependent sample t-test. the results are as follows. First, negative or inappropriate behavior has been reduced while positive or appropriate behavior increased. Second, social competence or skills of cooperation, self-expression, self-control, and sympathy have been improved. It can be claimed therefore that a mandala-based group art therapy is positively effective in improving the social competence of institutional children.
