미술치료가 부부 의사소통에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료가 부부 의사소통에 미치는 효과를 알아보려는 것으로 미술 매체를 통해 내면의 감정을 표출함으로써 자기 이해와 정화 및 부부 상호간에 자유로운 의사소통을 돕고 부부 개인이 가진 잠재력을 개발하여 더욱 행복한 결혼 생활을 조력하도록 돕고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료가 부부의 요구만족도에 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 미술치료가 부부의 의사소통 증진에 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 미술치료가 부부의 결혼만족도를 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다. 이 연구의 제한점으로 본 연구에서는 한 부부에 불과했으므로 추후 연구에서는 실험집단과 통제 집단을 설계하여 그 효과를 측정하는 것이 바람직하겠고 \'성(sex)\'에 관한 프로그램을 첨가하여 프로그램을 보강하고 다양한 부부 집단의 연구를 실시하여 프로그램의 질을 높일 필요가 있다. 부부라는 특성상 본 연구가 관찰자 없이 프로그램을 진행했으므로 일반화하는데 문제가 있다고 보여 진다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effects of Art Therapy on the growth of a couple's marital relationship, through greater facilitation in the expression of depth emotions, a growing self-understanding and spouse-understanding, and improved communication. As there is little documented research on the topic, this paper may prove to be a significant contribution to the research on art therapy and its influence on the marital relationship. The acquired results of this research support the previously published data on this topic and indicate that: 1. Art Therapy has a positive influence on the satisfaction of mutual needs. 2. Art Therapy promotes the couple's level of communication. 3. Art therapy increases the marital satisfaction. The researcher acknowledges that more trials and test cases of the art therapy program would have been beneficial. It is premature to conclude that art therapy would have the same level of success as stated above, as only one couple participated in the research program. A larger experimental group, close monitoring of the participants, and reinforcement of the program (e.g., the addition of a sexuality program) were thought to be indispensable areas for gathering more reliable data.
