선택중심 교육과정에 대한 사회학적 고찰

국문 초록

선택중심 교육과정은 학생의 흥미와 소질, 그리고 진로에 적합하도록 구성하기 위한 것이다. 선택중심 교육과정은 선택과 집중, 자율과 창의, 다양성과 특성화를 통해 학생의 잠재적 능력을 높이는 데 있다. 선택중심 교육과정은 학생이 스스로 만들어 가는 능동적 교육과정이다. 선택중심 교육과정은 교육의 본 질 구현에 적합한 미래 지향적 교육과정의 성격을 가지고 있다. 그러나 선택중심 교육과정의 이념을 효 과적으로 구현하기 위해서는 현실적인 실제 토대가 뒷받침이 되어야 한다. 이념을 구현할 수 있는 현실 적 조건이 마련되지 못하면, 오히려 교육적 부작용을 초래할 수 있다. 따라서 본고는 선택중심 교육과정 의 이념과 실제적 성격을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 기반으로 한국의 사회적 맥락 속에서 선택중심 교육과 정의 성격을 검토하고자 하였다. 그래야만 선택중심 교육과정의 효과적인 실천 준거를 마련할 수 있기 때문이다. 선택중심 교육과정의 성공적인 구현을 위해 한국의 사회적 맥락 속에서 선택중심 교육과정의 현실적인 실천 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The elective-centered curriculum is the curriculum to organize that fit students' interest, character and course. The core of this curriculum is to develop students' latent ability by selection and concentration, autonomy and creativity, variety and individuality. The elective-centered curriculum is the active curriculum which students make on their own. The elective-centered curriculum is the future-directed curriculum to embody the nature of education By the way, the realistic foundation should be back up to realize the idea of this curriculum. If the realistic foundation is not planned or realize the idea effectively, it may be result in educational side effect. Therefore, first of all. This study investigate distinctly the ideological and practical directions of the elective-centered curriculum. Standing on the basis of this. This study investigate the characteristic of The elective-centered curriculum in the social context. Therefore the effective conformity of this curriculum may be prepared only through this investigation. Also this study is intended to present the realistic practice direction of this curriculum in Korean social context for successful embodiment of it.
