대학교육의 학습성과에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 연구 : 수업의 질과 수업 외 활동을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학교육의 성과를 높이기 위한 방법을 모색하기 위해 학습성과에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고자하였다. 대학교육의 성과를 기존에는 학습효과, 학점, 성취도 중심으로 보았지만, 현재는 학생들이 궁극적으로 얻을 수 있는 종합적인 혜택 및 이익 등으로 정의하고 있어서 보다 포괄적으로 이해하는 것이 필요해졌다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 대학의 핵심역할인 수업에 대한 요인을 포함하고, 최근 또 다른대학의 주요성과로 여기는 대학 내 활동을 주요요인으로 보고 학습성과와의 관계를 파악하였다. 이를 위하여 한국교육개발원이 한국 대학생 학습과정분석 연구에서 개발한 측정도구 NASEL(National Assessment for Student Engagement in Learning)로 수집된 자료를 이용하였는데, 2014년에 4년제 대학 재학생 42,673명을 대상으로 수집한 자료가 분석되었다. 수업의 질, 수업 외 활동과 학습성과와의 관계를 분석하기 위해 상관분석 및 위계적 회귀분석(Hierarchical Regression Analysis)을 실시하고, 변수간의 상대적인 영향력을 알아보기 위하여 구조모형 검증을 실시하였다. 분석결과 모든 하위변인 간에 유의한 정적상관관계가 있었으며, 위계적 회귀분석 결과 수업의 질과 관련된 전공, 교양의 질이 모두 유의하게 학습성과를 설명하였다. 그리고 수업 외 활동을 포함하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 모두 유의하게 학습성과를 설명하여 모형이 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 마지막으로 수업의 질과수업 외 활동, 학습성과간의 구조모형 검증 결과 모형적합도도 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to look over factors that have an influence on learning outcome in order to find methods to improve academic achievement. The academic achievement of college education has been focused on learning effect, credit, achievement in the past; however, a comprehensive understanding is being needed to obtain overall benefits, and interests for college students. Thus, this study includes factors of lectures as a main role of college; in addition, the relation between the learning outcome and extra curriculum as main factors is dealt with. For this study, Korean Educational Development Institute used materials which are collected by NASEL(National Assessment for Student Engagement in Learning) based on an analysis of learning-process of Korean college students. The materials are analyzed with informations of 4237 4years’ enrolled college students in 2014. A corelation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis are carried out in oder to analyze the relation between extra curriculum and learning outcome; furthermore, structural model investigation is conducted in order to evaluate the relative influence among variables. The statistical analysis used a program called PASW statistic 18.0. As a result, there is similar static relation among low ranked variables; moreover, the result of hierarchical regression analysis shows that quality of lectures, related majors, and the quality of liberal arts all achieved similar the learning outcome. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis including the extra curriculum, the learning outcome is also statistically similar. For last, as results of the quality of lectures, the extra curriculum, and the structural model investigation as an aspect of learning outcome, the model suitability is also favorable.
