청소년의 컴퓨터 사용이 자기조절학습과 사회성에 미치는 효과에 대한 종단적 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 컴퓨터 사용이 자기조절학습과 사회성 발달에 미치는 영향을 경험적으로 분석하였다. 한국아동청소년패널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS) 중1패널 데이터 중, 3차년도(2012), 5차년도(2014), 6차년도(2015)의 3개년도 자료(중3, 고2, 고3)를 토대로 잠재성장모형을 검증하였다. 청소년의 컴퓨터 사용을 ‘학습용’과 ‘비학습용’으로 구분하고 자기조절학습과 사회성과의 관계를 분석한 결과, 중3 시기에 학습용 컴퓨터 사용이 많은 학생일수록 자기조절학습이 높았으며 이같은 관계는 학년이 높아지면서 지속적으로 유효하였다. 반면 중3시기에 비학습용 컴퓨터 사용이 많은 학생일수록 자기조절학습이 낮았지만, 학년이 높아지면서 컴퓨터 사용의 변화가 자기조절학습의 종단적 변화에는 더 이상 유의한 변화를 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한청소년의 컴퓨터 사용은, 학습용 및 비학습용 사용에 관계없이, 사회성에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 확인된 이상의 결과가 주는 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyse the longitudinal relations between self-regulated learning, social relationship and computer use of adolescent. For this purpose, multivariate latent growth model was verified, using three year longitudinal panel data of Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (2012, 2014, & 2015). In analysis of the effects of computer use, the use of computer was divided into ‘for learning’ and ‘for non-learning’. Results indicated that ‘computer use for learning’ was positively related with self-regulated learning in the period of K9, and this relation was still valid as their grade goes up. However, the ‘use of computer for non-learning’ was negatively related with self-regulated learning and there was no valid relationship as their grade goes up. Lastly, there was no direct influence of computer use on the social relationship of adolescent, regardless of the computer use for ‘learning’ or ‘non-learning’. Based on these results, the implications were discussed.
