다양한 음악 활동을 통한 비행청소년의 인성 변화 조사

국문 초록

본 연구는 다양한 음악활동을 통하여 비행청소년들의 인성이 긍정적 방향으로 변화할 수 있는지를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 연구 대상은 법무부 산하 특수교육기관인 고봉 중·고등학교의 밴드특별학급 20명 학생을 대상으로 하였으며, 검사도구로는 법무부에서 개발하고 재표준화 과정을 거쳐 현재까지 사용 중인 특수인성검사 SPI-Ⅲ를 활용하였다. 연구방법으로 학생들이 본교 최초 입학 당시 1차 검사를 시행하였고 이후 6개월간 밴드 특별학급에서의 다양한 음악활동 이후 동일한 검사를 재실시하여 결과를 분석하였다. 1차 검사와 2차 검사의 결과를 상호 비교 가능하도록 SPI-Ⅲ 검사 하위요소들의 결과에서 얻어진 원점수를 T점수로 변환한 값과 백분위, 등급으로 분류하여 함께 제시하였다. SPI-Ⅲ 검사는 타당성척도, 일반척도, 임상척도, 일탈행동척도의 하위요소로 구분되는데, 연구결과 개인차가 존재하지만 많은 하위요소들에서 음악활동이 비행청소년들의 인성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 음악활동을 통해 임상적으로 유의미한 변화를 보였다고 판단할 수 있을 정도의 폭넓은 점수 변화를 보인 학생 비율은 과반수에 미치지 못한 것으로 나타났으며, 정신과적 병력을 가지고 있는 학생의 경우 예상치 못한 결과가 나타나는 한계점을 보였다. 이러한 한계점을 극복하기 위해서는 음악교육 내에서 인성교육이 병행되어야 하며 정신과적 병력을 가진 학생들에게는 적절한 치료가 동반되어야 할 것이다. 나아가 특수인성검사의 활발한 사례연구 및 결과 개선을 통해 비행청소년의 비행성향을 예측하고 재비행까지 예방할 수 있어야 할 것이다. 이 연구는 많은 교육자들이 특수성을 가진 비행청소년 교육에도 관심을 가지도록 함과 동시에 향후 교육의 방향을 설계하고 정립할 시 이를 고려하도록 하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study is for examining the change of juvenile delinquents personality by various musical activities. An object of study is 20 students of band special class of Gobong juvenile mid•high training school which is affiliated in Ministry of Justice. And Examination tool is special personality inventory (SPI-Ⅲ) that Ministry of Justice has been using through developing and re-normalizing it. Method of study is the students had their first examination when they entered the school. After various musical activities for 6 months, they had a re-examination and then analyzed the change of independent variable SPI-Ⅲ subelement s result value. This study presented T score, which was changed from the original score that was gained to cross-correlate the first and second results, percentage and grade. SPI-Ⅲ has Appropriateness scale , General measure, Clinical measure and deviant behavior measure for subelement. And the result turn out that in all measures, various musical activity shows positive effects on the personality of juvenile delinquents. But the number of students that showed big difference that can means it s a clinically meaningful change didn t hold a majority. And in case of the students that had psychiatric medical history indicated the limitation that turning up unexpected results. To overcome this kind of uppermost limits, we have to combine the music education and personality education, and the students that had psychiatric medical history must have a proper treatment. Also, via the brisk clinical research and improvements of special personality inspection, we have to anticipate the delinquent proneness of juvenile delinquents and prevent repeated delinquency. This study can put meaning making many educators to give attentions to juvenile delinquents that has distinct and design and set the direction of education of henceforth.
