국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 시설청소년이 문화예술교육을 통하여 자기표현에 대한 변화과정을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위하여 여러 지역의 시설 중 음악프로그램이 포함된 시설을 중심으로 연구 참여자를 선정하였다. 그리고 각 기관의 문화예술교육 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 청소년의 자기표현 과정을 살펴보기 위하여 심층면접을 실시하였으며, 시기별로 구분하여 변화과정을 관찰하였다. 면접의 방법은 자유로운 분위기에서 여러 가지의 이야기를 표현할 수 있도록 반구조화된 형식으로 하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시설청소년들이 문화예술교육에 참여 동기는 문화예술교육보다는 외부강사에 대한 호기심으로 시작하였다. 둘째, 시설청소년의 자기표현의 양상은 무응답과 무관심에서 언어적 표현의 소극적인 변화를 보였다. 셋째, 시설청소년은 문화예술교육프로그램을 참여하는 과정에서 그 교육과 관련된 자기표현에 상당한 향상을 보였다. 이러한 자기표현의 양상은 공동생활에서 오는 부적응, 스트레스 그리고 나름의 상처나 외로움에 대해 표출할 수 있는 또 하나의 방법이므로, 청소년기 건강한 정서 형성에 매우 중요한 요인으로 작용한다. 따라서 시설청소년의 안정된 정서를 위해서는 다양한 문화예술교육 프로그램이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the process of self-expression in adolescents in residential care through arts and cultural education programs. To this end, the study participants were selected residential facilities that had a music program. In-depth interviews were then conducted to examine the process of self-expression in the adolescents who in each facility’s arts and cultural education program. The interviews and observations were conducted by dividing the process into the initial, middle, and final stages. The interviews were semi-structured to enable the interviewees to describe in an atmosphere of freedom: results were as follows. First, the adolescents’ in arts and cultural education often their curiosity about arts lecturers. However, once their classes started, they often expressed indifference. Second, the type of self-expression in adolescents in residential care showed passive manner in lingual expression. Third, the adolescents in residential care showed considerable improvements in self-expression during the course of arts and cultural education programs. arts and cultural education the adolescents to express their maladjustment, stress, or loneliness by inducing changes in their self-expression. Therefore, arts and cultural education programs should be to enhance the emotional stability of adolescents in residential care.
