영문 초록

Thirty-four patients of alopecia areata were studied on the relatedness to the emotional stress, using MMPI and structured psyciatric interview. From this study group, other organic alopecias, such as syphilitic, allergic and toxic were excluded. As control group, 27 patients (14 Gastric ulcer and 13 other psychosomatic skin disease) and 38 normal healthy persons were selected. All the subjects of study and control groups were 20 to 25 years old enlisted mon. The resultr were as follow s； 1) Four ont of 34 subjects of study group showed MMPI profile of elevated F scale and lowered L and K scales, a pattern not seen in any of the normal healthy control gronp. 2) The most frequent size of lesion was 10- 50cm2 (29.4% ). No Significant correlation was noted between MMPI scales and size of the lesion. 3) Abnormal MMPI profiles were noted in 41.2% of the alopecia areata group. And 50% of alopecia* areata patients had been under emotionally stressful) situation for over month before the onset. And ： 64,7% of the study group had abnormal MMPI profile and/or history emotional stress. 4) In view of validity scales, the skin disease、 group showed somewhat more defensive pattern, compared to the normal healthy control groups.
