영문 초록

This study was designed to confirm the previous finding of the senior author in the prevalence of tar dive dyskinesia (TD). The present study was performed in 4 inpatient wards of National Mental Hospital in Seoul. The subjects were 110 male patients (mean ags 31,8±10.0). The evaluation for TD was carried out by using Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS). Interrater reliability assessed by kappa statistic was satisfactory in all AIMS items. Among the subjects, the patients with a history of antipsychotic medication for less than 3 months and organic conditions including drug or alcohol dependence were excluded when the prevalence rate was determined. And only schizophrenia with a history of antipsychotic medication more than 3 months with no organic condition were included when the relationship between the occurance of TD and risk factors was determined. The results were as follows： 1. When TD was defined as those with a rating 3 or higher for any one or more than one of seven body items, the prevalence rate was 23.2% in 95 male patients and 16.7% in 102 female patients. This finding is fundamentally similar to previous result of the senior author. 2. Most frequently involved body region among dyskinetic patient was extremities in male (17.996) and facial area in 5 female (12.7%). 3. Among the risk factors, age and the hstory of electroconvulsive therapy was statistically significant relationship with the occurence of TD. And there was no significant relationship between the occurrence of TD and sex, duration of neuroleptic exposure, the use of antiparkinsonian drug and other psychotropics, and dosage of antipsychotics at the examination
