영문 초록

Encephalitis Lethargica, first reported by von Econom o, was an acute encephalitic disease which ocurred in Europe and A m erica in epidem ic portion in the 2nd and 3rd decade of this century. Despite recent sporadic case reports o f encephalitis Lethargica in the literature, m any authors rem ain doubt about it’s continued ocourrence. It is unknow n viral disease characterized by som nolence opthalm oplegia and chronic sequale, particullary P arkinsonism personality and behavior change. The authors presented a 12 year old girl showing encephalitis Lethargica’s clinical course and sym ptom s which were particullary identical to von E conom o’s description.
