국문 초록

Blogging is one of the popular online activities in Korea, and bloggers enjoy this experience with meaningful outcomes, including self-growth, an expanded social network, and enhanced knowledge level. This study investigates the experiences of adult bloggers when using a framework of self-regulated learning (SRL) as a social-cognitive model of learning. Data were collected from adult users of Cyworld through an online survey (n=100) and online interviews (n=15). The findings indicate that blogs can serve a meaningful informal learning environment, particularly for adults who are increasingly required to be self-directive learners throughout their lives. The model of SRL can offer a useful guideline for such integration of blogs into adult informal learning context.
