한국정책개발학회 학술지의 출판 동향과 연구생산성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 2001년부터 2023년까지 한국정책개발학회 학술지에 게재 된 296편의 논문을 대상으로, 해당 논문의 출판 특성과 저자의 연구 생산성을 탐색하는 것이다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 설정한 분석 항목은 논문 편당 저자 수, 저자의 소속기관, 출판유형, 학술지 논문 발표 실적, 저자의 연구 지속성, 참고문헌의 유형이다. 특히 연구 생산성 분석을 위해 계량 서지학의 Lotka 법 칙을 활용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 단독 출판 비율이 공동 출판보다 높았다. 둘째, 저자의 소속기관으로 는 대학교가 가장 많았으며, 그다음은 정부 기관 및 산하기관, 연구소 순이었 다. 셋째, 학술지 논문 발표 실적에서 시간의 흐름에 따라 지속적인 출판 활동 하는 저자의 수가 감소하였고, 다수의 저자가 한 편의 논문만 발표하고 그 이 상의 출판 활동을 하지 않았다. 넷째, Lotka 법칙을 활용하여 출판 저자들의 연구 생산성을 분석한 결과, 소수의 연구자가 다수의 논문을 출판하여 특정 연구자들의 생산성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 참고문헌의 유형 중 학술 지(정기간행물)가 가장 많았다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로, 한국정책개발학회의 출판 활성화와 연구 생산성 제고를 위해 신진 연구자들에게 학술대회 및 연구 공동체 활동 기회를 제공하고, 공동 연구 및 연구자 간 협력 네트워크를 강화하는 방안을 제언하 였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate authors' publication characteristics and research productivity by analyzing 296 articles published in the Journal of the Korean Policy Development Society from 2001 to 2023. The analysis includes publication types, the number of authors per paper, affiliated institutions, publication performance, the continuity of authors' research activities, and types of references cited. Lotka's Law of bibliometrics was applied to analyze research productivity. The results are as follows: First, the rate of single-author publications was higher than that of co-authored publications. Second, universities had the highest number of affiliated authors, followed by government agencies and research institutes. Third, the number of authors with continuous publication activities decreased over time, with many authors publishing only one paper and not continuing further. Fourth, using Lotka's Law, it was found that a few researchers published most papers. Fifth, academic journals were the most frequently cited type of reference. Based on these findings, recommendations for enhancing the publication activity and research productivity of the Korean Policy Development Society include providing opportunities for academic conferences and research community activities to emerging researchers and strengthening collaborative research and networking among researchers.
