국문 초록

본 연구는 탈북대학생의 학업성취에 영향을 미치는 인적특성 요인과 남북한 교육경 험 요인을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 북한에서 공 교육을 경험하고 국내 대학에 재학 중인 탈북대학생 163명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행 하여, 빈도분석과 계층적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 탈북대학생의 학업성 취에는 북한에서의 정치·경제적 지위 등의 가정환경, 학교성적과 학업 관련 사교육 경 험의 교육 배경, 한국에서의 사교육 경험이 중요하게 작용하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이 러한 결과를 바탕으로 북한 가정환경의 영향, 북한 교육 배경의 중요성, 한국 사교육 경 험의 역할에 대해 논의하고, 학업 지원 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the factors of personal characteristics and educational experiences in both North and South Korea that influence the academic achievement of North Korean defector university students. To achieve this objective, a survey was conducted with 163 North Korean defector university students who had received public education in North Korea and were currently enrolled in South Korean universities. Frequency analysis and hierarchical multiple regression analysis were utilized to assess the data. The results indicate that factors such as family background—including political and economic status in North Korea—educational background such as school performance and experiences with academic extracurricular activities in North Korea, as well as experiences with private education in South Korea, play significant roles in the academic achievement of these students. Based on these findings, the study discusses the impact of North Korean family environments, the importance of North Korean educational backgrounds, and the role of private education in South Korea, and further proposes academic support measures for these students.
