전통시대 동성애(同性愛) 인식에 대한 일고찰(一考察)

국문 초록

이 연구는 전통시대 다양한 문헌자료들을 분석하여 동성애의 양상을 정리하였다. 그리고 이익의 <화랑(花郞)>·<외색(外色)>과 <화랑가(花郞歌)>, 이규경의 <반인변증설(半人辨證說)>·<남총변증설(男寵辨證說)>·<한궁대식변증설(漢宮對食辨證說)>과 연결시켜 한국의 전통시대 동성애에 대한 인식을 정리하였다. 첫째, 분리된 자신을 찾아 완전체를 이루려는 갈망이다. 이는 고구려 덕흥리 벽화고분에 있는 지축일신양두(地軸一身兩頭)’, ‘청양지조일신양두(靑陽之鳥一身兩頭)’를 통해 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 동성 사이에서 형성되는 순수한 관계라는 인식이다. 이는 삼국사기 <진흥왕> 37년에 실려 있는 화랑도에 관한 이야기에 나타난다. 셋째, 천리를 거부하여 하늘과 인간 사이를 문란하게 하는 행위라는 인식이다. 삼국유사의 표훈대덕(表訓大德) 이야기를 통해 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 개인의 내면과 관계를 파괴하는 열정적 사랑이라는 인식이다. 이는 삼국사기 ｢열전｣에 실려 있는 사다함과 무관랑의 이야기, 고려사와 고려사절요에 실려 있는 목종과 유행간의 이야기, 이규경의 <남총변증설>에서 제시한 일부 사례에 잘 나타난다. 다섯 번째, 불완전한 개인을 완성시켜주는 낭만적 사랑이라는 인식이다. 고려사와 고려사절요에 기록된 충선왕과 원충의 사례, 유가대사 경조와 박소년의 사랑을 소재로 지은 이규보의 시에서 확인할 수 있었다. 여섯 번째, 추하고 기이하며 문란한 성생활이라는 인식이다. 고려사와 고려사절요에 등장하는 공민왕과 자제위의 관계, 세종실록에 실려 있는 봉씨 관련 내용, 이익의 <화랑>·<외색>·<화랑가>, 이규경의 <남총변증설>·<한궁대식변증설>, <흥부전> 등의 자료를 통하여 알 수 있다. 일곱 번째, 조물주의 잘못을 극복할 수 있는 대안적 방법이라는 인식이다. 고전소설 <홍백화전>에 등장하는 세 명의 등장인물이 토론하는 내용을 통하여 추정할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study summarized the pattern of homosexuality by analyzing various literature data from the traditional era. In addition, the perception of homosexuality in the traditional Korean era was summarized along with the ·· written by Lee Ik and the ·· written by Lee Kyu-kyung. First, it is a desire to find a separate self and achieve a whole body. This could be seen through jichuk-ilsinyangdu(地軸一身兩頭) and cheongyangjijo-ilsinyangdu in Deokheung-ri Mural Tomb of Goguryeo. Second, It is a perception that it is a pure relationship formed between the same sex. This appears in the story of Hwarangdo in the 37th year of Samgug-sagi(三國史記) ｢jinheung- wang(眞興王)｣. Third, it is the perception that it is an act of disrupting between heaven and humans by rejecting the principle of heaven. This could be seen through the story of PyoHoonDaedeok(表訓大德) in Samgug-yusa. Fourth, it is a perception that it is passionate love that destroys an individual's inner and relationships. This is evident in the stories of Sadaham and Mugwanlang in the Samgug-sagi, the stories of Mokjong and Yuhaeng-gan in Kolyeosa(高麗史)and Kolyeosa-jeolyo(高麗史節要), some examples presented in written by Lee Kyu- kyung. Fifth, it is the perception of romantic love that completes an imperfect individual. The cases of Chungseon- wang(忠宣王) and Wonchung(元忠) recorded in Kolyeosa and Kolyeosa-jeolyo were confirmed in Lee Kyu-bo's poem about love between Yugadaesa(瑜伽大士) Gyeongjo(景照) and Park-sonyeon(朴少年). Sixth, the perception is that it is an ugly, bizarre, and promiscuous sex life. This could be seen through data such as the relationship between Gongmin-wang(恭愍王) and Jajewi(子弟衛) in Kolyeosa and Kolyeosa-jeolyo, the contents related to Bongssi(奉氏) recordedin Sejongsillok(世宗實錄), ·· written by Lee Ik, the · written by Lee Kyu-kyung, . Seventh, it is perception as an alternative way to overcome the creator's mistakes. This could be estimated through the discussions of the three characters in the classic novel .
