국문 초록

본 연구는 사회적기업가를 대상으로 잠재프로파일 분석(Latent Profile Analysis: LPA)을 이용하여 사회적기업가정신의 유형을 분류하고, 분류된 집단별 창업 만족도 및 사회적 성과와 재무적 성과 차이를 확인하였다. 연구 대상은 공익재단인 사회적가치연구원(CSES)에서 실시한 2023년 사회성과인센티브(SPC)에 참여한 총 343명의 사회적기업 대표 또는 이에 준하는 임원들이다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적기업가정신의 잠재프로파일은 ‘사회적가치지향 편향형’, ‘위험감수성 소극형’, ‘균형적 이상형’의 세 집단으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 각 집단에 따른 창업 만족도, 사회적 성과 및 재무적 성과의 차이를 비교하였을 때, 전체 집단 간 비교에서는 모두 유의미한 평균 차이를 보였으나 개별 집단 간에는 창업 만족도와 재무적 성과에서 ‘사회적가치지향 편향형’과 ‘위험감수성 소극형’의 평균 차이가 유의하지 않았다. 그러나, 사회적 성과의 경우 ‘사회적가치지향 편향형’, ‘위험감수성 소극형’, ‘균형적 이상형’ 집단 간 차이 검증에서 모두 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 나타냈다. 본 연구는 사회적기업가정신이라는 행동 경향과 기량을 다루는 연구를 ‘변수중심적’ 접근으로 시행되었던 기존 연구와 차별화하여, ‘사람중심적’ 접근 방법으로 개인의 개별적 특성에 따라 독립적으로 발달되는 사회적기업가정신의 정도를 파악하고 유형화하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study categorizes social entrepreneurs by type using Latent Profile Analysis and examines the differences in entrepreneurial satisfaction, social and financial performance between the latent groups. The study included a total of 343 social entrepreneurs or equivalent executives who participated in the SPC conducted by CSES, a public foundation. The findings of the study were as follows. First, the latent profiles of social entrepreneurship were categorized into three groups: the ‘social value biased’ group, the ‘risk-taking passive’ group, and the ‘balanced ideal’ group. Second, when comparing the differences in entrepreneurial satisfaction, social performance, and financial performance among each group, significant mean differences were found in the overall group comparison. However, the mean differences between the 'social value oriented' and 'risk-taking passive' groups in entrepreneurial satisfaction and financial performance were not significant among the individual groups. In contrast, in the case of social performance, the differences between the 'social value oriented' group, 'risk-taking passive' group, and 'balanced ideal' group were all statistically significant. This study is significant in that it differentiates itself from previous studies that dealt with the behavioral tendencies and skills of social entrepreneurship by using a variable-centered approach. It identifies and categorizes the degree of social entrepreneurship that develops independently according to individual characteristics using a person-centered approach.
