아버지의 공감능력 증진과 유아기 자녀의행동문제 개선을 위한 부모놀이치료의 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 자녀양육과 영·유아기 긍정적 부모자녀관계 형성을 위해서는 어머니뿐만 아니라 아버지 또한 중요한 역할을 한다고 보고 아버지들에게 실시될 수 있는 부모놀이치료(Filial therapy) 프로그램을 적용하여 그 효과를 검증해보고자 하였다. 부모놀이치료(Filial therapy) 프로그램은 그동안 부모자녀관계 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 증명되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 장미경(1998, 2004)이 Guerney(1964)가 개발한 프로그램을 바탕으로 한국 부모들에게 적합하게 내용과 기간을 수정한 프로그램을 사용하였다. 실험집단은 프로그램에 참여한 아버지 14명이었고, 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 아버지 7명으로 통제집단을 구성하여 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 프로그램에 참여했던 아버지들이 참여하지 않았던 아버지들보다 자녀와의 관계가 개선되었고, 자녀에 대한 아버지의 공감능력이 향상되었으며, 자녀들의 행동문제 개선에도 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 아버지 역할이 아버지와 자녀의 관계에 중요한 영향을 미치며, 부모놀이치료(Filial therapy)가 아버지와 자녀의 관계 향상에 효과적인 프로그램임을 의미한다.

영문 초록

This research was designed to investigate how effective filial therapy is on fathers because it was assumed that both parents have important roles in bringing up their children, and particularly in the early stages. Filial therapy has been verified to be a very effective intervention program for the parent-child relationship. Therefore, in this study filial therapy, which was developed by Guerney (1964) and adapted by Jang (1998, 2004)for Korean parents, was changed in terms of the contents and the period the program was used. The fathers who participated in this 8 weeks of filial therapy program were 14 and 7 in control group and they. Fourteen fathers, with 7 in the control group, participated in this filial therapy program. It was verified that filial therapy was effective in improving the relationship between fatherand child. The therapy enhanced the empathic ability of fathers toward their children and also improved the children's behavior,showing the importance of fathers in raising children, and the usefulness of filial therapy as a method for intervention.
