국문 초록

본 연구는 자기보고식 검사 도구에 대한 응답양식 사용에 따른 잠재집단이 존재하는지 확인하고, 응답양식이 응답자 모수와 척도 간 상관에 미치는 효과를 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 한국교육종단연구 2013 5차년도 중학교 3학년 학생 설문 중 자아개념 척도의 4개 하위척도(사회, 가족, 신체, 학업)를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 혼합부분점수모형을 적용하여 하위척도별 응답양식 사용에 따른 잠재집단분석 결과, 사회적 자아개념 척도에서는 ‘비극단응답양식 집단’과 ‘극단응답양식 집단’이 도출되었다. 둘째, 신체 및 학업 자아개념 척도에서는 비극단응답범주 중 3점의 비율이 높은 ‘비극단응답양식 집단1’과 4점의 비율이 높은 ‘비극단응답양식 집단2’ 그리고 ‘극단응답양식 집단’ 총 3개의 집단이 도출되었다. 셋째, 사회, 신체, 학업 자아개념 척도에서 남학생은 여학생보다 극단응답양식을 더 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 극단응답양식을 사용하는 집단의 경우 응답양식 통제 후 응답자 모수가 축소되었고, 비극단응답양식을 사용하는 집단의 경우 응답자 모수가 확대 추정되었다. 또한 응답양식이 통제된 후 하위척도 간 상관은 응답양식 통제 전보다 축소되는 경향이 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify latent groups based on response styles to a self-report assessment and to explore the effects of these response styles on the estimation of respondent parameters and the correlations between sub-scales. The data from the 2013 Korea Education Longitudinal Study, specifically from the survey of third-year middle school students on the self-concept measure, were used for the analyses. The main findings are as follows. First, applying a mixed partial credit model to explore latent groups according to response styles on each sub-scale, it was found that, in the social self-concept scale, there emerged two groups: a non-extreme response style group and an extreme response style group. Second, in the physical and academic self-concept scales, two non-extreme response style groups with difference preferences of selecting options and an extreme response style group were identified. Third, in the social, physical, and academic self-concept scales, male students preferred extreme response styles more than female students. Lastly, for the group using extreme response styles, the respondent parameter was overestimated when response styles were not accounted for, while for the group using non-extreme response styles, the respondent parameter was underestimated when the response styles had not been controlled. After controlling for response styles, the correlations between sub-scales decreased.
