장애인의 신체활동 참여에서 기본심리욕구와 자율성 동기의 역할: 스코핑 리뷰

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애인의 신체활동에 있어 자기결정성 이론이 어떠한 역할을 하는지 종합적 분석을 통해 지식과 정보를 제공하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 Arksey, O'Malley(2005)가 제시한 스코핑 리뷰(Scoping review)를 활용하였으며, Levac 등(2010)이 제안한 권장 사항을 통합하여 본 연구의 방법론적 구조를 설정하였다. 2002년 1월부터 2023년 8월 사이에 발표된 12편의 문헌을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지체장애에 관한 범주에서 자기결정성 동기와 신체활동 관련 요인 간 유의한 관계가 나타났으며, 기본심리욕구와 신체활동 참여, 사회성 간의 관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 전반적 장애에 관한 범주에서 기본심리욕구가 신체활동을 통해 삶의 질 향상과 더불어 운동지속과 끈기(GRIT), 제약극복전략에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애인 운동선수에 관한 범주에서 자율성지지 코칭방식이 자기결정성 동기 및 기본심리욕구와 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 장애인의 신체활동에 있어 자기결정성 이론이 긍정적 역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 자기결정성이 실제 특수체육 현장에서 적극적으로 활용될 수 있도록 다양한 방안의 마련이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to provide knowledge and information through a comprehensive analysis of the role of self-determination theory in the physical activity of people with disabilities. To this end, we utilized the scoping review proposed by Arksey and O'Malley (2005) and incorporated the recommendations proposed by Levac et al. (2010) to establish the methodological structure of this study. After analyzing 12 articles published between January 2002 and August 2023, the following findings were identified. First, a significant relationship was found between self-determination motivation and physical activity-related factors in the category of physical disability, and a relationship was found between basic psychological needs and physical activity participation and sociability. Second, in the category of generalized disability, basic psychological needs were found to influence continuous exercise performance, GRIT, and constraint overcoming strategies, as well as improving quality of life through physical activity. Third, in the category of athletes with disabilities, autonomy support coaching style was related to self-determination motivation and basic psychological needs. These results suggest that self-determination theory has a positive role in the physical activity of people with disabilities, and various measures should be taken to ensure that self-determination is actively utilized in the field of adaptive physical education.
