일반계고 학생의 진로정보 수집 및 활용 실태

국문 초록

이 연구는 일반계고 학생의 진로정보 수집 및 활용 실태에 대한 경험을 심층적으로 탐구하여, 인생에 가장 큰 결정을 앞두고 있는 이들의 진로의사결정을 조력할 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 목적에 따라 일반계고 재학생 중 진로정보 수집 및 활용 실태에 대한 생생한 목소리를 전달할 수 있는 7명을 연구 참여자로 선정하고, 2회에 걸쳐 FGI를 수행하였다. FGI를 통한 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진로정보 탐색과 관련하여 일반계고 학생들은 온오프라인의 다양한 정보원에서 진로정보를 수집하였으며, 중요한 타인(부모님, 친구, 교·강사, 현직자)와 진로정보 관련 상호작용을 할 때 각각의 양상 및 기능이 달랐다. 둘째, 진로정보 활용과 관련하여 진로의사결정 수준에 따라 진로정보 활용의 수준이 상이하다. 희망 직업이나 학과가 뚜렷하면 다양한 인적 정보원에게서 수집한 정보를 자신의 진로를 구체화하는 데 활용하였으나, 그렇지 않은 경우에는 대학 입시 정보에 집중하여 피상적인 수준에 머물렀다. 셋째, 진로정보 평가와 관련하여 진로정보 탐색 및 활용과 관련된 어려움은 성찰적 사고를 통해 진로 관련 행동을 촉진하는 긍정적인 정서를 형성하였다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 일반계고 진로교육의 질적 제고를 위한 실천적, 학술적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate general high-school students’ experience related to collecting and using career information for their career development. For this purpose, we conducted two focus group interviews of 7 general high-school students sample which is diverse of their gender and grade. The main findings of FGI were as follows. First, general high-school student use variaous resource to collect career information. In case of human resource, the communication between students and important people in their lives is different. Second, the level of Career decision level influences how they utilize carrer information. The group of students that decide on their career clearly try to integrate career information to specify their career path. however, the others who have a superficial perception of their career path try to collect general information about the university not something related their long term goal. Third, general high school students evaluate their experience related to career information as a positive base of their career development. Even though they go through hardship, they find its own meaning with reflective thinking. Based on the main findings above, We present practical and academic implications.
