국문 초록

본 연구는 여성 노인 건강 증진 방안을 마련하기 위한 초석을 다지는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 여성 노인의 사회적 관계가건강에 미치는 영향을 검증함과 동시에, 가구 유형에 따라 건강정보 리터러시의 매개효과에는 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 분석시에는 질병관리청의 ‘한국 여성 생애주기별 건강인식조사 및 이슈 발굴 조사 연구’에서 수집된 데이터를 활용하였으며, 연구 대상은여성 노인 3,000명(1인 가구 여성 노인 683명, 다인 가구 여성 노인 2,317명)이다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1인 가구 여성노인일수록 다인 가구 여성 노인에 비해 신체 건강 수준 및 사회적 관계 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다인 가구 여성 노인의건강정보 리터러시 수준이 1인 가구 여성 노인보다 높은 것으로 검증되었다. 마지막으로 1인 가구와 다인 가구 여성 노인 모두의사회적 관계가 신체 건강에 미치는 과정에서 건강정보 리터러시가 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 이때 1인 가구 여성 노인은가족과의 관계가 신체 건강에 미치는 영향에서만 건강정보 리터러시의 완전 매개효과가 나타났으며, 다인 가구 여성 노인의 경우에는가족과의 관계와 친구와의 관계가 신체 건강에 미치는 영향에서 건강정보 리터러시의 완전 매개효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구 결과를바탕으로 향후 여성 노인의 건강 증진을 위한 개입 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the health of older women in relation to their social relationships and health literacy, utilizing the data from the ‘Korean Study of Women’s Health-Related Issues(K-Stori)’. The dataset comprises a final sample of 3,000 older women, with 683 residing in single-person households (SPH) and 2,317 in multi-person households (MPH). The key findings of the analysis are as follows: Firstly, older women in SPH exhibited lower levels of physical health compared to those in MPH. Secondly, it was observed that the overall level of social relationships among older women in SPH was inferior to that of those in MPH. Thirdly, MPH residents displayed a higher level of health literacy than their counterparts in SPH. Lastly, this study revealed that health literacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between social relationships and physical health for both SPH and MPH residents. Specifically, health literacy completely mediated the association between family relationships and health outcomes for both SPH and MPH, while it entirely mediated the connection between friend relationships and health solely for MPH residents. Drawing from these findings, policy and practice implications for enhancing the health of older women were proposed.
