국문 초록

예나 지금이나 정치와 종교는 매우 밀접한 관계를 유지해왔다. 정치가 종교에 영향을 미치기도 하고, 종교가 정치에 영향을 미치기도 하였다. 그러나 “종교의 정치화”나 “정치의 종교화”는 항상 우리의 삶을 위협해왔다. 이런 면에서 우리 삶의 방향을 제대로 정립하기 위해서는 정치와 종교가 어떤 관계여야 하는가를 좀 더 깊이 다루어 볼 필요가 있다. 그러나 국내 학계에서는 이 문제에 대해서 깊이 있는 논의를 아직 개진하지 못하고 있는 편이다. 더욱이나 이 문제와 관련하여 김일성주의를 깊이 있게 고찰한 경우는 빈약한 실정이다. 특히, 정치학이 아니라 철학에서 이를 다룬 경우는 미비한 실정이다. 이 글은 ‘정치와 종교’의 관계를 누구보다 예민하게 다룬 키에르케고어의 시선으로 이 부분을 재검토해보려고 한다. 이를 위해 이 글은 먼저 ‘정치와 종교’를 매우 진지하게 다룬 키에르케고어의 입장을 검토하고, 이를 바탕으로 정치와 종교의 관계가 우리의 삶에 얼마나 중요한 것인가를 부각해보려고 한다. 이를 근거로 김일성주의에 내재된 정치와 종교의 관계를 재검토해보려고 한다. 마지막으로 이를 통해 분단 시대를 살아가는 오늘의 우리 상황에서 우리의 미래 학문이 나아가야 할 방향을 모색해보고자 한다. 우리는 정치와 종교 각각의 자율성을 존중하되, 서로 견제하고 돕는 역할을 하도록 해야 할 것이다. 이 점에서 정치와 종교의 결합이 낳은 그리스도교 국가를 극복하려고 한 키에르케고어 사상과 제국주의를 타도하려 한 김일성주의에 관해 지속적으로 연구해 볼 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Now and then, politics and religion have maintained a very close relationship. Politics sometimes influenced religion, and religion sometimes influenced politics. However, “politicization of religion” or “religionization of politics” has always threatened our lives. In this respect, in order to properly establish the direction of our lives, we need to look more deeply into the relationship between politics and religion. However, domestic social philosophy circles are yet to engage in in-depth discussions on this issue. Moreover, there are few in-depth studies of Kimilsungism related to this issue. In particular, there are few cases where this is addressed in philosophy rather than political science. This article attempts to re-examine this part from the perspective of Kierkegaard, who treated the relationship between ‘politics and religion’ more sensitively than anyone else. To this end, this article first reviews Kierkegaard’s position on ‘politics and religion’ and, based on this, attempts to highlight how important the relationship between politics and religion is in our lives. Based on this, we will try to re-examine the relationship between politics and religion inherent in Kim ilsungism. Lastly, through this, I would like to explore the direction in which our future political philosophy should move in today’s situation where we live in an era of division. We must respect the autonomy of politics and religion, but ensure that they keep each other in check and help each other. In this regard, there is a need to continue to study Kierkegaard’s ideas and Kimilsungism, which attempted to overcome the Christendom created by the combination of politics and religion, and imperialism.
