국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 이상적인 마른 체형의 내면화를 조절변인으로 포함한 후 죽음불안이 이상섭식 행동에 미치는 영향력의 변화를 검토함으로써 이상섭식행동의 내적 기제를 설명하는 것에 있다. 서 울 및 경기 소재 대학교 179명의 여대생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 죽음불안, 이상섭식행동, 이상적인 마른 체형 내면화에 대한 자료를 수집하였고, 위계적 중다회귀분석 기법을 사용해 해당 자 료를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 죽음불안과 이상섭식행동의 관계에 대한 이상적인 마른 체형 내면화의 조절효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 이상적인 마른 체형 내면화 수준이 높아질수록 죽음불안 과 이상섭식행동의 정적인 관련성은 커졌다. 또한 죽음불안은 이상섭식행동에 유의한 영향을 미치 지 못했으며, 이상적인 마른 체형 내면화는 이상섭식행동에 유의한 수준의 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 위 와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의 및 한계, 추후 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the underlying mechanism of disordered eating by verifying the moderating effect of thin-ideal internalization on the relationship between death anxiety and disordered eating among Korean female undergraduates. Through an online survey, 179 female undergraduate students completed questionnaires on death anxiety, disordered eating, and thin-ideal internalization. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was utilized to analyze the collected data, and the main results are as follows. First, thin-ideal internalization significantly moderated the relationship between death anxiety and disordered eating. In particular, the positive association between death anxiety and disordered eating got bigger when thin-ideal internalization increased. Second, death anxiety did not have a significant influence on disordered eating. Third, thin-ideal internalization had a significant influence of disordered eating. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this research and the suggestions for future research were discussed.
