국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 청년을 대상으로 우울과 주관적 행복감 간의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과 에 대한 알코올 의존의 조절 매개효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 한국복지패널조사의 14차년도 자료를 사용하여 만 19~30세 907명의 응답자료를 활용하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 26과 PROCESS macro를 활용하여 회귀분석과 조절 매개효과 유의성 검증을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다 음과 같다. 첫째, 우울이 주관적 행복감에 미치는 직접효과는 유의하였으며 우울과 주관적 행복감의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과 역시 유의하였다. 즉 우울과 주관적 행복감의 관계에서 자아존중 감이 부분 매개하였다. 둘째, 우울과 주관적 행복감의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과에 대한 알코 올 의존의 조절 매개효과는 유의하였다. 본 연구 결과를 활용하여 청년의 주관적 행복감 증진을 위 한 실천적 방안으로 우울과 자아존중감을 함께 개입하는 방안에 대해 제안하였으며, 우울감을 호소 하는 청년의 알코올 의존이 자아존중감을 낮출 수 있다는 점을 행복감 증진 개입에 활용할 것을 제 안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to verify the moderated mediating effect of alcohol dependence on the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between depression and subjective well-being in youth. For this purpose, response data from 907 people aged 19 to 30 were utilized using data from the 14th year of the Korean Welfare Panel Survey. For data analysis, SPSS 26 and PROCESS macro were used to conduct regression analysis and verify the significance of the moderated mediating effect. The main results are as follows: First, the direct effect of depression on subjective well-being was significant, and the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between depression and subjective well-being was also significant. In other words, self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between depression and subjective well-being. Second, the moderated mediating effect of alcohol dependence on the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between depression and subjective well-being was significant. Using the results of this study, we proposed a method of intervening with both depression and self-esteem as a practical measure to improve youth's subjective well-being, and found that alcohol dependence in youth complaining of depression can lower their self-esteem.
