상황이야기 중재가 ASD 아동 및 청소년의 의사소통 의도에 미치는 효과에 대한 메타연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 ASD아동 및 청소년의 의사소통 의도 증진을 위해 실시된 상황이야기 단일대상 중재 연구를 메타분석하여 그 효과를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구의 동향, 의사소통 의도의 효과크기, 분석 변인 별 효과크기를 도출하기 위하여 Tau-U를 활용하였다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2020년 9월까지 국내 학술지에 발표된 11편의 단일대상연구를 선정하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 의사소통 의도에 대한 상황이야기 중재의 효과크기는 중간 정도의 효과(Tau-U = 0.8641)로 나타났다. 둘째, 상황이야기의 의사소통 의도에 미치는 중재요인은 학령기 시기에, 20회 이상의 중재에서, 전자적 도구와 비전자적 도구를 혼합으로 사용한 경우에, 특수학교 및 특수학급에서 시행된 중재환경에서 중재효과가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 의사소통 의도의 하위범주 중에서는 사회적 상호작용, 공동주의, 행동통제 순으로 효과크기가 크게 나타났다. 결과를 통해 상황이야기 중재의 변인에 따라 중재효과의 차이가 있음을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Using the meta-analysis, the effect that Social Story intervention has on the communication ability of both children and adolescents with ASD will be investigated. A total of 11 single-subject studies, which were published in Korean academic journals from 2010 to September 2020, were researched by using both selection and exclusion criteria. In the Social Story intervention of ASD children and adolescents, the effect size was examined using the Tau-U value. First, the total effect size of the Social Story intervention on the communication ability was found to be an intermediate effect. Second, the following factors appeared to be associated with a higher effectiveness of Social Story interventions: a) involving elementary-aged participants; b) being in more than 20 intervention sessions; c) using mix(high-tech+low-tech) tools; and d) the implementation in both special education classes and special schools. Among the subcategories of communication ability, the effect size was the highest in the order of social intervention, joint attention, and behavior regulation. Intervention that used Social Story showed an effect on the communication ability of ASD children and adolescents. It was suggested that this effect size may differ, depending on several variables. In addition, the characteristics of Social Story intervention were discussed. Therefore, it is required to both develop and apply a Social Story intervention program for effective intervention in consideration of the relevant variable.
