사물 소멸과 디지털 반사물(Undinge) 팽창에 대한 반역사적 사유로서 니체의 조형력 재해석

국문 초록

반사물(Undinge, 反事物)이라는 개념을 통해 한병철이 주목한 것은 사물 (Dinge)의 소멸이다. 사물의 대비 개념으로 제시한 반사물은 일종의 반사물(反 射物)이다. 이것은 아날로그 사물들의 반영물로서 디지털 세계 속 이미지들이 다. 디지털 세계의 지배를 통해 변형되고 있는 생활세계의 모습을 점유해나가는 것은 다름 아닌 반사물이다. 이러한 21세기의 디지털 전경을 한병철은 일본에서 1994년에 출간된 오가와 요코의 소설 『은밀한 결정』을 주목함으로써 시작한다. 1990년대에 소설에서 묘사한 사물의 소멸 현상을 한병철은 2022년에도 계속 나 타나는 현상으로 포착한다. 이 글에서 논자는 디지털 허무주의 현상에 맞물려있는 사물 소멸과 디지털 반 사물의 팽창에 대한 비판적 성찰을 위해 ‘역사(die Historie)’에 대한 니체의 비판 적 고찰을 재해석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2장에서는 사물 소멸의 원형으로서 플 라톤의 사유를 『파이드로스』에서 ‘문자’에 관한 논의를 통해 살펴본다. 3장에서 는 사물 소멸과 반사물 출현의 형이상학적 단초로서 ‘존재’의 출현, 즉 변화와 생 성에의 공포를 『비극적 사유의 탄생』에서 나타난 니체의 입장을 중심으로 고찰 한다. 그리고 4장에서는 역사를 삶에 대한 이점과 단점의 관점에서 고찰하고 있는 니체의 『반시대적 고찰 II』에서 제시한 역사의 세 유형을 사물에서 반사물로 의 변형과 접목해본다. 그리고 마지막으로 5장에서는 기억과 망각의 정도와 한 계에 대한 니체의 ‘조형력(die plastische Kraft)’을 통해 사물과 반사물 간의 긴장 관계를 통한 공존의 사유를 제시한다. 이처럼 기억과 망각, 역사적 인간과 반역 사적 인간을 관통하는 니체의 조형적 사유의 재해석을 통해 디지털 가상세계와 가상인간의 역습을 견제할 예방적 담론을 모색한다.

영문 초록

Through the concept of Undinge, Han Byung-chul focused on the disappearance of things. The Unthings presented as the concept of contrast of things are a kind of reflection. These are images in the digital world as reflections of analog things. It is none other than the Unthings that occupies the appearance of the living world, which is being transformed through the domination of the digital world. This digital foreground of the 21st century begins by focusing on Yōko Ogawa's novel Secret Crystallization(密やか な結晶) which was published in Japan in 1994. The phenomenon of the disappearance of things, which was depicted in the novel in the 1990s, Han Byung-chul captures it as a phenomenon that continues to appear in 2022. In this paper, the author seeks to reinterpret Nietzsche's critical examination of 'die Historie' in order to critically reflect on the disappearance of things and the expansion of digital Unthings that are intertwined with the phenomenon of digital nihilism. To this end, chapter 2 examines Plato's thought as a prototype of the disappearance of things through a discussion of “letters” in Phaedrus. Chapter 3 examines the emergence of 'being' as a metaphysical trigger for the disappearance of things and the emergence of Unthings, i.e., the fear of change and creation, focusing on Nietzsche's position in The Birth of Tragic Thought. Chapter 4 combines the three types of history presented in Nietzsche's Untimely Considerations II, which examines history from the perspective of its advantages and disadvantages to life, with the transformation from objects to reflections. And finally, in chapter 5, Nietzsche's ‘Plastic power’ (die plastische Kraft) on the degree and limits of memory and forgetting presents the idea of coexistence through the tension between things and Unthings. In this way, through the reinterpretation of Nietzsche's formative thought that penetrates memory and forgetting, historical and un-historical man, we seek a preventive discourse to check the counterattack of the digital virtual world and the virtual human.
