조선시대 무역 서적과 한국소설의 발달

국문 초록

한중 양국은 오랜 역사기간동안 문화와 정치, 종교와 예술에서 끊임없는 교류를 통하여 우리나라 는 자체적인 우수문화를 창달하였다. 중국의 선진문물과 문화를 도입하여 발전시키고 이를 이웃국가 인 일본에 전파하는 중간 매개체 역할도 수행해왔다. 특히 인쇄와 종이제조 기술의 유입과 발달은 중 국의 문학작품을 수용하여 한국고유의 작품탄생이 탄생할 수 있는 중요한 토대가 되었다. 역사적으로 한국에 유입된 중국 고대문학 작품 수는 총 483종이며 이중 전등신화와 전등여화를 포 함한 소설이 464종, 원나라 잡극 서상기를 포함한 희곡 19종이다. 특히 조선왕 연산군이 직접 하교하 여 중국 서적을 구매해서 들여오라는 기록이 있다. 조선왕조실록 연산군일기에 중국에 파견하는 사절 단에게 명나라에서 서적을 구매해 올 것을 명하였다. 이를 통하여 우리는 파견 사절단이 서적 유입의 중요한 역할을 담당했음을 알 수 있다. 이렇게 유입된 서적 중 전등신화와 전등이화는 조선 초기 한국의 최초 소설인 금오신화에 커다란 영향을 주었다. 이후 전기소설집 기재기이의 탄생은 17세기 몽유록 소설의 대표작인 구운몽의 탄생에 중요한 가교 역할을 하였다. 또한 대표적인 애정소설 운영전과 주생전 그리고 최초의 한글소설 홍길 동전 탄생에 지대한 영향을 주었다. 무역에 의한 중국 서적 유입은 한국의 고전소설의 탄생과 발전에 밀접한 관련이 있음을 알 수 있다. 현대사회에서 문화컨텐츠는 고전소설을 중요한 소재로 활용하고 있다. 이러한 문화산업을 활용하 여 수출과 관광자원으로 활용한다면 국가 경제 이익창출에 크게 기여할 수 있을 것이다. 미래에 문화 산업 수출의 중요성은 더욱더 강조될 것이다. 오래전에 국내로 들여온 무역서적 중 전등이종의 국내 유입은 우리의 자체적인 문학작품탄생의 모티브가 되었으며 독자적인 소설 발전에 크게 기여한 것이 다. 이후 우리는 우수한 고전문학작품을 문화컨텐츠 소재로 잘 활용한다면 문화산업발전과 나아가 세 계 무역교류를 이끄는 선두 주자가 될 것이다. 따라서 본 논문을 통하여 중국서적의 무역유입과 현 재의 한국 경제에 깊은 영향관계를 밝히고자 한다.

영문 초록

Korea has been in relation with china in every fields including culture, politics, religion and arts even though both countries are in either small or big conflicts. As a result, Korea has made its unique, creative and outstanding literature that was shaped by geographical, culture and political elements. According to professors Min kwandong and Park jaeyeon, there are 483 ancient chinese literary works introduced into korea including 464 novels “Jeondungshinhwa” and 19 plays “Seosanggi”. It was such a huge cultural exchange in consideration of the fact that digitak printing and translation was not easily accessible like now. Based on the true record of the Joseon Dynasty, king Yeonsan dispatched delegation to China and order them to buy chinese book. It shows level of interest in Chinese literature and culture in Korea. It seemed that Chinese books were the only means of understanding trends in China at that time. Likewise, Chinese book were introduced by trade and books mentioned above such as myth of “Jeondungshinhwa” and “Jeondungyeohwa” were introduced in early stage of Joseon Dynasty, which led the Korea first novel of “Geumhoshimhwa”. Afterwards, Jeongi novels of “Gijaegiyi” influenced “Guunmong” which is great example of novel in 17 century and also affected love-romance novels such as “Unyungjeon” and “Jusaengjeon” as well as “Honggildongjeon” which was written in Korea first time in history. We can say that the situation at that time can be similar to the current situation that Korea culture influences wide ranges of cultural fields including movie, animation, drama, pop and etc and they are used as cultural contents for gaining economic benefits. Introduction of “Jeondungshinhwa” and “Jeondungyeohwa” that was introduced by delegation and traders 600 years ago helped a birth of Korea unique style literature and development of Korea novels. Even though still same in now, cultural contents business will be a huge part of world trade. Therefore, we should know history of Korea history and its inflences and in future more research and supports are needed for continuons prosperity of Korean-cultural contents.
