사회자본, 안전인식, 주관적 안녕감의 관계 연구

국문 초록

급변하는 현대사회에는 코로나19와 같은 재난 등으로 인해 안전인식과 안녕감의 관심이 증대되고 있다. 안전인식과 관련 선행연구들은 사회자본의 중요성을 강조하고 있다. 이에, 본 연구는 사회자본이 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는지에 관해 분석하였다. 특히, 본 연구는 사회자본과 주관적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 안전인식이 조절효과를 가지는지 분석했다. 분석 결과, 사회자본의 구성요소인 규범, 네트워크, 신뢰가 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 안전인식 또한 주관적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 안전인식은 신뢰와 주관적 안녕감, 규범과 주관적 안녕감의 관계에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 얻을 수 있는 정책적 함의는 중앙 및 지방 정부 모두 주민들의 주관적 안녕감을 높이기 위하여 사회자본을 축적하여야 함을 알 수 있다. 또한, 정부는 안전에 대한 문제를 대응 및 예방할 수 있도록 안전시스템 구축에 있어 이러한 사회자본 요소들을 보완해야 할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

With the natural and social disasters like the recent COVID-19 crisis, people feel insecure about their safety and well-being. Previous studies on safety awareness emphasize the importance of social capital in reducing such social anxiety. This study analyzed whether social capital affects subjective well-being, focusing on whether safety awareness has a moderating effect in the relationship between social capital and subjective well-being. The analysis showed that norms, networks, and trust, which are components of social capital, affect subjective well-being, and safety awareness also affects subjective well-being. In particular, safety awareness has been found to have a moderating effect in the relationship between trust and subjective well-being, and between norms and subjective well-being. The policy implications obtained based on the research results show that both central and local governments should pay attention to social capital to increase the subjective well-being of residents. Governments must consider the role of social capital when designing public safety system.
