국문 초록

[연구목적]본 논문은 한국채택 국제회계기준 도입 이후 감사보수의 행태, 구체적으로 초도감사 이후 감사보수의 행태가 감사인의 특성에 따라 변하는지 한국채택 국제회계기준이 적용된 이후의 기간으로 한정하여 분석한다. [연구방법]2011년에서 2018년까지 한국거래소 유가증권시장 상장기업을 대상으로 해당 기업을 감사한 회계법인의 정보를 금융감독원 회계포탈 및 전자공시시스템을 통해 수기로 취합한 후 회귀분석을 수행하였다. [연구결과]분석결과, 한국채택 국제회계기준 도입 이후 초도감사 시 감사보수가 증가하였다. 한편, 초도감사 이후 2년차와 3년차의 감사보수를 분석한 결과, 규모가 큰 회계법인의 감사보수는 증가하지만, 소속 공인회계사의 평균 감사 경력이 높을수록 감사보수가 감소하였다. [연구의 시사점]본 논문은 선행연구를 확장하여 한국채택 국제회계기준 도입 이후에는 초도감사 시 감사보수가 증가한다는 결과를 제시하여 달라진 감사보수 행태를 실증하였으며, 초도감사 이후 감사인의 특성에 따라 감사보수에 미치는 영향이 다르다는 결과를 제시함으로써 정책당국에 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

[Purpose]This paper examines the change of audit fee after the introduction of ‘International Financial Reporting Standards’. Specifically, this paper examines wheter the audit fee after initial audit changes according to the characteristics of auditors. [Methodology]Using listed firms in KOSPI market from 2011 to 2018 to examine the relationship between auditor characteristics and audit fee after initial audit engagement. The information of auditors are collected manually from the Financial Supervisory Service’s accounting portal and KIND system. [Findings]This paper shows that the audit fee increased even in the case of initial audit engagements since the introduction of the ｢International Financial Reporting Standards｣. Meanwhile, the audit fee in the second and third year after initial audit engagements showed that the audit fee of large audit firms increased, but the higher the average audit experience of their certified public accountants, the lower the audit fee was. [Implications]This paper provides the policy implication to the supervisory authorities by presenting the changed audit fee behavior.
