국문 초록

본 연구는 과학문화 활성화를 위한 효율적 정책 추진을 목적으로 인천지역 과학문화의 특성을 파악하고 확산 정도를 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 네이버 지도 내 등록된 인천지역의 구조물을 탐색하고 인천광역시 홈페이지 및 인천지역 8개의 구, 2개의 군을 대상으로 구·군청 공식 홈페이지를 활용하여 인천 8구·2군의 지역별 과학문화 확산에 기여할 수 있는 인프라를 분석하였다. 그 결과 인천지역 8구·2군의 인프라 유형은 역사적 가치를 담은 박물관이 가장 많았으며 체험장, 연구소, 공단에서 조성한 공간, 교육센터, 과학관, 공원, 기업에서 운영하는 공간 순으로 구성되었다. 특히, 기업에서 운영하는 과학문화 공간이 가장 적은 실정이며 이러한 인프라는 서구, 중구, 연수구에만 집중된 것으로 나타났으며, 인천지역의 구･군별 과학문화 인프라의 격차가 있음을 확인하였다. 하지만, 인천은 오랜 역사를 가지고 발전해 왔기에 지역의 고고학적 자료, 역사적 유물, 예술품 등의 역사 문화에 관한 인프라가 구축되어 있으며 지리적으로도 서해와 인접하고 한강의 하류에 위치하여 168개의 크고 작은 섬과 한강과 서해로 유입되는 작은 하천, 산 등 인천만의 특화된 풍부한 자연환경을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 인천의 다양한 문화적 또는 지리적 특성의 자원을 체계적으로 구분하고 연계함으로써 인천광역시만의 특화된 과학문화 인프라 자원을 활용하고 과학문화 향유의 기회를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료 된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the characteristics of Incheon culture and the degree of spread of science culture for the purpose of effective policy promotion for the revitalization of science culture. For this purpose, structures registered on Naver Map were searched and using the Incheon Metropolitan City official website, the infrastructure that can contribute to the spread of science culture by region was analyzed. As a result, the type of infrastructure in Incheon area's 8 districts and 2 county was the most in the form of museums, followed by experience centers, research institutes, spaces created by industrial complexes, education centers, science center parks. In particular, it was found that the number of spaces operated by companies was the smallest and concentrated only in Seo-gu, Jung-gu, and Yeonsu-gu. However, Incheon has been developing since the Paleolithic. As a result, infrastructure related to historical and culture such as archaeological materials, historical relics, and works of art has been established. Geographically, it is adjacent to the westem sea and located downstream of the Han River, so it has 168 large and small islands, small rivers and mountains flowing into the Han River and the westem sea. Therefore, it will be possible to systematically classify and link Incheon's resources of various cultural or geographic characteristics to utilize Incheon Metropolitan City's unique scientific and cultural infrastructure resources and to provide opportunities for scientific culture enjoyment.
