국문 초록

본 연구는 이집트 한국어 교육의 현황을 살펴보고 향후 이집트 한국어 교육의 발전을 위한 개선 과제를 제안하고자 한다. 1994년 이집트 주한국대사관에서 초급 한국어반을 개설함으로써 이집트 한국어 교육의 첫발걸음을 뗀 이후 이집트 내 대학들을 비롯해 여러 한국어 교육 기관이 설립되어 꾸준히 발전해오고 있다. 이집트는 아랍국가 가운데 한국 교육의 선두주자로서 중차대한 영향력을 미치는 국가이기도 한데 중동이라는 지역적 제한과 외부적 여러 요인으로 인해 교육 현장의 성장과 발전에 어려움을 겪기도 했다. 이에 향후 이집트 한국어 교육 발전을 위해서는 현시점에서의 고찰과 분석, 점검이 필요한 상황이기도 하다. 본 연구에서는 이집트 한국어 교육의 시작 및 발전 현황을 고찰하고 현실적인 개선 과제를 제시해봄으로써 향후 이집트 한국어 교육의 발전에 본 연구가 작게나마 보탬이 되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study examines the current status of Korean language education in Egypt and proposes improvement tasks for the development of Korean language education in Egypt in the future. Since 1994, when the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Egypt opened a beginner Korean language class, various Korean language education institutions have been established and developed steadily. Egypt is also a leading country in Korean language education among Arab countries, but it has also experienced difficulties in the growth and development of the educational field due to regional restrictions in the Middle East and external factors. Therefore, for the future development of Korean language education in Egypt, it is also necessary to consider, analyze, and check currently. In this study, it is hoped that this study will contribute to the development of Korean language education in Egypt in the future by examining the beginning and development status of Korean language education in Egypt and presenting realistic improvement tasks.
