영문 초록

In this paper, the classical literature of “Simcheongjeon” was classified into song text, printing type text, copying text of the song text series, copying text of novel series and other kinds of texts, etc. The paper includes sα seαions, that is to say, 1) The blind Simbongsa’s grief for himself, 2) Baengdeok Eomi’s social standing and her relations with Simbongsa, 3) Baengdeok Eomi’s personal characters, 4) Baengdeok Eomi’s conduct, 5) Departure from capital city and the reasons of escape on the way, 6) corrections, etc. The paper aims to examine the aspect and meaning of changed illustration of Baengdeok Eomi. Baengdeok Eomi of the Simcheongka did not make appearance at the beginning of formation of Pansori literature. During growth period, Baengdeok Eomi was thought to be no more than Simbongsa’s remarried wife: However, she changed herself to be a bad woman later. At the course, the causes producing Simbongsa’s corruption relatively increased to put an emphasis on the novel's amusement. In the beginning, Baengdeok Eomi did not keep a regular shape, while in the latter period she had a shape of supplementary character. At first, Simbongsa got married to Baengdeok Eomi by neighbors' recommendation: When Baengdeok Eomi has vicious character later, she intentionally lures Simbongsa. Such a change naturally coincides with Simbongsa’s character changes. The paper examined combinations of both words and time measure as well. In the beginning, Baengdeok Eomi’s time measure was relatively slow. Later, relatively quick time measure was used and finally Jajinmori, a quick time measure, is thought to combine it with Pyeongwujo. This is because light and quick time measure is good to describe a bad character such as Baengdeok Eomi. The changed illustration of Baengdeok Eomi has relations with the changes of Pansori history. At first, the changed illustration had humor factors together with tragedy at Pansori play, so that it gave vitality to Simcheonka that had tragedy of former half. In addition, the changes of words and time measure had relations at a certain part. In other words, the combination of both words and time measure had relations with the implementation of inside story of Pansori. The changed illustration of Baengdeok Eomi shows well the changes of Pansori literature having different directions. In conclusion, the changed illustration of Baengdeok Eomi represents not only the changes of Simcheongka but also the production of bad character: Furthermore, it represents the changes and meaning of the changed Pansori literature as well.
