국문 초록

본 논문에서는 피해자학의 연구영역을 7가지로 구분하고, 각 연구영역 별로 수행되는 연구의 내용을 살펴보았고, 각 영역에서 주로 연구를 수행하는 학문분야를 경험적 연구와 법/정책 연구로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 또한 피해자학 분야의 대표학술지인 ‘피해자학연구’에 2015년부터 2022년까지 게재된 181편의 논문을 분석하여, 학문분야별로, 그리고 피해자학 연구영역별로 논문을 분류하고 비교함으로써 우리나라의 피해자학 분야에서 이루어지는 연구의 최근 동향을 분석하였다. 그리고 피해자학에서 경험적 연구를 수행할 때 사용되는 핵심적인 변수인 범죄피해와 범죄 두려움을 중심으로, 이 변수들이 연구모형에서 담당하는 역할, 즉 독립변수, 종속변수, 상호작용 변수의 역할에 따라서 설명모형을 6가지로 구분하고, 각 설명모형의 내용과 학제간 공동연구의 가능성, 그리고 정책적 활용의 가능성 등에 대해서 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 범죄원인과 범죄기회 요인을 통합한 연구모형 구축의필요성에 대하여 고찰하였다.

영문 초록

In this paper, I classified seven research areas in victimology, examined the contents of research conducted in each research area, and examined which the academic disciplines that classified into empirical research and legal/policy research mainly conduct research in each area. We also analyzed 181 articles published in “Korean Journal of Victimology”, a representative journal of victimology in Korea, from 2015 to 2022, and analyzed the recent trends of research in victimology in Korea by classifying the number of articles by academic discipline and the number of articles by research area in victimology. Focusing on the variables of crime victimization and fear of crime, which are key factors used when conducting empirical research in victimology, we classified six explanatory models according to the role they play in the research model, i.e., independent, dependent, and interaction variables, and examined the contents of each explanatory model, the possibility of interdisciplinary joint research, and the possibility of policy utilization, and ultimately considered the need to build a research model that integrates crime causes and crime opportunity factors.
