성소수자를 상담한 상담자의 경험에 관한 질적 메타요약

국문 초록

본 연구는 성소수자를 상담한 상담자들의 경험에 관한 질적 메타요약 연구이다. 연구자들은 질적 연구종합 중 질적 메타요약으로 접근했다. 본 연구에서는 3명의 평정자를 구성했고, 국내에서 수행된 6편의 성소수자를 상담한 상담자들의 경험을 분석했다. 연구 절차는 모두 7개의 단계를 거쳤다. 연구 과정은 1단계 시작하기, 2단계 초기 관심사 관련 연구물 검색과 선정하기, 3단계 개별 연구물 읽기 및 분석, 4단계 연구물 간의 관련성 찾기, 5단계 연구물 간 연관 분석하기, 6단계 해석 종합하기, 7단계 종합내용 표현하기로 이어졌다. 개별 연구 결과 6건의 논문에서 모두 134개의 기술적 주제를 도출했고, 이를 종합하여 34개의 종합적 주제로 제시했다. 그리고 8개의 핵심 주제를 제시했다. 연구자들은 시간의 흐름과 맥락 그리고 전략 등을 고려하여 연구 결론을 제시했다. 연구 결과에 근거하여 성적 소수자를 상담하는 상담자들의 역량 강화와 지지방안 그리고 지식 생태계 조성에 대한 논의와 제언을 했다.

영문 초록

This study is a qualitative meta-synthesis on the experiences of counselors who have provided sexual minorities with counseling services. We have approached this study as a qualitative meta-synthesis within the framework of qualitative research synthesis. Three raters were involved in the study, and we analyzed sexual minority counselors’ experiences clarified in six studies conducted in the Republic of Korea. This study’s research process consisted of seven steps: 1. Beginning of the study, 2. Initial search and selection of relevant studies, 3. Understanding and analysis of individual studies, 4. Identification of relationships between studies, 5. Analysis of the associations between studies, 6. Synthesizing interpretations, and 7. Presentation of overall findings. As a result of analyzing each of those six studies, we identified a total of 134 technical topics, which were synthesized into 34 comprehensive topics. We also presented eight core topics. In consideration of the context, strategy, and time frame, we eventually derived a research conclusion. Based on the results of this study, we discussed and suggested how to enhance the capacity of sexual minority counselors, develop a supportive system, and establish a knowledge ecosystem.
