성소수자의 가족경험에 대한 질적 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 이미 발표된 성소수자와 관련된 가족경험에 대해 질적 연구로 수행된 연구물에 관한 질적 메타분석을 목적으로 하였다. 동성 결혼법이 부재한 상황에서 동성애 동거를 포함한 성소수자의 가족경험과 성소수자 자녀를 둔 부모 경험을 총체적으로 이해하고자 하였다. 분석대상은 성소수자 가족 경험의 첫 시작인 2015년부터 2022년까지 국내 학술지와 학위논문에서 발간된 9편이다. 개별 연구물의 자료코딩 및 범주, 개별 연구간 상호비교, 분석, 결과도출, 종합적 결과 및 최종해석까지 7단계로 수행하였다. 이를 토대로 성소수자의 가족경험을 하는 주체의 핵심경험과 개념적 주제를 재구성하였다. 이에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 가족이 알기 이전의 성소수자 당사자 경험으로 ‘다름의 성정체성’의 1가지 핵심경험과 4가지의 개념적 주제를 도출하였다. 이어 가족구성원의 반응과 경험으로 ‘거부와 회피’와 ‘수용’ 2가지 핵심경험과 5가지의 개념적 주제를 도출하였다. 마지막으로 가족이 알고 난 이후의 성소수자 당사자 경험은 ‘마찰과 장벽’, ‘온전한 삶’의 2가지 주제와 4가지 개념적 주제를 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 성소수자의 당사자 경험과 가족 구성원의 반응과 경험을 설명하고 논의하였다. 질적 메타분석을 통해 질적 연구로 수행한 연구물을 심층적으로 성찰함으로서 성소수자의 가족경험에 대한 구체적인 모습을 파악하고 시사점을 제시할 수 있다. 마지막으로 연구의 의의를 제시하여 후속연구를 위해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze qualitative meta-analysis of studies conducted as qualitative studies on family experiences related to sexual minorities already been published. In the absence of the same-sex marriage law, it was intended to understand the family experience of LGBTQ people, including homosexual cohabitation, and the experience of parents with LGBTQ children as a whole. The subjects of the analysis are nine published in domestic journals and dissertations from 2015 to 2022, the first start of the sexual minority family experience. Data coding and categories of individual studies, mutual comparison between individual studies, analysis, result extraction, comprehensive results, and final interpretation were carried out in seven steps. Based on this, the core experiences and conceptual themes of the subjects who have the family experience of LGBTQ were reconstructed. The results of the study are as follows. First, one key experience and four conceptual themes of ‘gender identity of difference’ were derived from the experience of sexual minorities before the family knew it. Subsequently, two key experiences and five conceptual topics were derived from the responses and experiences of family members, “rejection and avoidance” and “acceptance.” Finally, the sexual minority party experience after the family knew resulted in two themes: ‘friction and barrier’ and ‘full life’ and four conceptual themes. Based on this, the experience of sexual minorities and the reactions and experiences of family members were explained and discussed. Through qualitative meta-analysis, it is possible to grasp the specific appearance of sexual minorities’ family experiences and present implications by reflecting in-depth on the research conducted by qualitative research. Finally, the significance of the study was presented and suggested for follow-up research.
