생태여성신학의 전개와 생태학적 여성주의 담론

국문 초록

현대적 의미에서의 여성신학이라고는 볼 수 없으나 이미 기독교 전통 안에는 중세기의 여성 신비주의의 대가 빙엔의 힐데가르트와 같은 인물에 의해 생태주의적 의식이 신학화되어 있었다. 그러나 이러한 신학 사상은 기독교 주류보다는 비주류의 사상 속에 녹아있었다. 19세기 말에 ‘여성의 성서 운동’을 통하여 여성신학적 토대가 마련되기 시작했으나 계급과 인종의 차별 구조에 대한 복합적 접근이 시도된 것은 1960년대 이후의 일이었다. 1970년대 이후 점차로 인간 중심주의는 생태 중심주의적 시각으로 바뀌어 갔고, 여성생태주의 신학화 작업도 정교하게 다듬어져 갔다. 이러한 사례를 소개하고자 이 글에서는 북미와 남미 생태주의 여성신학을 대표하는 샐리 맥페이그와 이본 게바라를 소개하고, 분단된 한국 상황에서 박순경의 사상을 다룬다. 그리고 생태여성주의적 담론에 필요한 개혁주의 신학적 요소를 바르트의 문법에서 교차적으로 읽어내고, 창조와 계약의 연관성과 관계의 유비 차원에서 고찰한다. 나아가 글을 마무리하며 구약의 안식일 정신을 생태여성주의와의 관련성 속에서 제시한다.

영문 초록

Although it cannot be regarded as feminist theology in the modern sense, ecological consciousness had already been in incorporated into Christian tradition by figures such as Hildegard of Bingen, the master of female mysticism in the medieval period. However, these theological ideas were incorporated into alternative theology rather than mainstream Christianity. At the end of the 19th century, the “Women’s Bible’s Movement” began to lay the foundation for feminist theology, but it was not until the 1960s that a complex approach to classism and racism was attempted. Since the 1970s, human-centeredness has gradually changed to an ecological-centered perspective, and eco-feminist theology has also been elaborately refined. To introduce such an example, this article elaborates Sally McFague and Ivone Gebara, representing North and South American eco-feminist theology, and deals with Park Soon-Kyung’s ideas in the divided Korean situation. In addition, the reformed theological elements necessary for eco-feminist discourse are cross-read from Karl Barth’s theological grammar and considered in terms of the connection between creation and covenant and in the light of analogia relationis. At the end of the article, the spirit of the Sabbath of the Old Testament is presented in relation to eco-feminist theology. Overall, it is a reflection on eco-feminist ideas throughout the development of Christianity and illuminates eco-feminist discourse globally in the contemporary era.
