금수현의 문필활동과 비평적 글쓰기 고찰

국문 초록

가곡 <그네>를 작곡한 금수현(1919-1992)은 식민지 시기에 태어나 해방기, 국가체제 형성 과정에서 음악인이자 교육행정가, 매체 발행인으로 활동한 인물이다. 이러한 활동은 글쓰기의 원천으로 작용하였다. 그의 문필활동은 음악도서, 신문ㆍ잡지 매체를 통해서 확인할 수 있다. 그의 문필활동은 매체 발행에서 출발하였다. 이후 신문매체에 칼럼을 연재하여 세태를 비평했다. 그리고 그가 발행한 『월간음악』에서 여론을 주도하여 자신의 입지를 넓혀 나갔다. 그는 각종 잡지매체에 일상수필, 전문논평, 시사비평 등을 게재하면서 자신만의 글쓰기를 지속적으로 이어나갔다. 금수현의 문필활동을 분석한 결과 당대 현실을 반영하여 자신의 비판적인 사유를 담은 글이 지배적이었다는 점이다. 이러한 점에서 금수현의 글은 ‘비평적 글쓰기’로 통칭할 수 있다. 그의 비평적 글쓰기는 격랑의 시대를 겪어온 교육자이자 음악인으로서 당연히 해야 할, 일종의 사명감을 구현한 것이다. 본 연구는 금수현의 문필활동을 개관하고, 그의 비평적 글쓰기를 고찰하였다. 금수현은 비평적 글쓰기를 통해 시대 현실에 적극적으로 개입했으며 자신의 음악적, 사회적, 역사적 시각을 드러냈다. 비평적 글쓰기는 민족 정체성의 탐구와 한글사랑, 음악의 가치 실현과 확산, 대중음악 현실을 비판적으로 바라본 금수현의 철학과 태도를 담고 있다. 이는 우리 것에 대한 진지한 고민에서 출발했으며 자신만의 비평적 글쓰기로 발현되었다. 그의 비평적 글쓰기는 세상에 화두를 던지며 문제의식으로 인식하게 한다.

영문 초록

Gum Su-hyun(1919-1992) who composed the song , was born during the colonial era and worked as a musician, education administrator, and music media publisher during the liberation period and the formation of the national system. These activities served as a source of writing. His literary activities can be confirmed through music related books, newspapers and magazines. Literary activities started from media publication. After that, he published a series of columns in the newspaper media to criticize the social situation. and He expanded his position by leading public opinion in Monthly Music published by him. He continued his own writing by publishing everyday essays, professional commentaries, and current affairs criticism in various magazines. As a result of analyzing Gum Su-hyun’s literary activities, it is that the writings containing his critical thoughts reflecting the reality of the time were dominant. In this respect, Gum Su-hyun’s writings can be collectively referred to as ‘critical writing’. His critical writing embodies a kind of sense of duty, which he must do as an educator and musician who has gone through turbulent era. In this study, Gum Su-hyun’s literary activities were reviewed and his critical writing was examined. Gum Su-hyun actively intervened in the reality of the times through critical writing and revealed her own musical, social, and historical perspectives. Critical writing contains Gum Su-hyun’s philosophy and attitude, which critically views the exploration of national identity, the love of Hangeul, the realization and spread of the value of our style’s music, and the reality of popular music. These consciousness and attitudes were expressed in own critical writings, starting from sincere consideration for our style’s thing. His critical writing bring up a topic into the world and makes it recognized to the problem consciousness.
