주자(朱子) 『대학장구』 「격물보전장」 학문체계의 근거에 대한 교육적 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 주자가 ‘사상사적 문제’로 인해 ‘송대 유학’을 근거로 하는 학문체계를 구축해서 「격물보전장」으로 보완하는지를 교육적으로 검토하기 위한 것이다. 「대학」 「전5장」을 보완하고자 한 주자의 교육적 의도는 첫째, 유학이 쇠퇴하는 ‘사상사적 문제’와 경전에 의거에 볼 때 망실된 듯한 ‘문헌학적 문제’를 해결하기 위해 「격물보전장」을 보충하는 방식으로 도덕적인 풍습을 불러일으키려는 것이다. 둘째, 「대학」 경전에 나와 있는 순서에 따라 먼저 안 다음에 실천해서 학문을 이루게 하고, 「대학」 경전의 본의에 따라 외물뿐만 아니라 마음 또한 살피게 하려는 것이다. 이러한 정립 의도로 인해 주자는 원시 유학자인 공자의 일이관지(一以貫之)와 송대 유학자인 장횡거의 리일분수(理一分殊)에 기반해서 활연관통 학문체계를 구축한다. 그리고 공자의 언충신(言忠信)·행독경(行篤敬), 맹자의 구방심(求放心) 이정의 경(敬)에 기반해서 경 학문체계를 구축한다. 이러한 주자의 「격물보전장」 학문체계는 ‘송대 유학’뿐만 아니라 ‘원시 유학’ 또한 토대로 하고 있다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to establish an academic system based on 'neo-confucianism' due to Zhu Xi's 'thought history problem'. Therefore, it is to review educationally whether it is supplemented with「theory of perfecting knowledge by studying the principles of real things」. Zhu Xi's educational intention to supplement 「Great Learning」 is, first, to solve the 'thought history problem' and 'literary problem'. It is intended to evoke moral custom in a way that supplements the「theory of perfecting knowledge by studying the principles of real things」. Second, in accordance with the order of 「Great Learning」 confucian scriptures it learns first and then practices to achieve academic achievement, and in accordance with 「Great Learning」 confucian scriptures it is to examine not only the thing but also the mind. Due to this establishment intention, Zhu Xi builds an academic system that is ‘penetrating clearly and out-spreadly’ based on Confucius and Chang Heng-qu. And based on Confucius, Mencius, and Yi jeong, an academic system of ‘reverential attention’ is established. Zhu Xi's「theory of perfecting knowledge by studying the principles of real things」 academic system is based not only 'neo-confucianism' but also 'original confucianism’.
