코로나(COVID-19) 시기 교육 연구 동향과 교육 전환에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

본고는 2020년 3월 코로나바이러스감염증(COVID-19)으로 인한 팬데믹 이후 교육과 관련한 연구동향과 내용을 분석하고, 이를 통해 한국 교육의 방향성을 고찰한 것이다. 첫째, 연구동향에 대한 양적 분석을 통해 연구 규모의 현황과 주요 키워드를 도출하였다. 둘째, 주요 키워드와 문헌고찰을 통해 코로나 사태 이후 학교 현장에서 드러난 교육의 문제점과 대안을 살펴보았다. 셋째, 달라진 환경에 따른 새로운 교육 생태계 구축과 교육의 방향성을 모색하였다. 그 결과, 코로나 팬데믹 상황의 교육 현장은 크게 두 가지 문제점을 표출하였다. 하나는 학습 격차이다. 그것은 학습 결손과 그에 따른 돌봄의 격차를 야기하였다. 다른 하나는 상호작용의 부재이다. 그것은 관계의 단절에 의한 것으로 학습 뿐 아니라 각종 심리적·사회적 문제를 야기하였다. 이러한 문제점을 염두에 두고 한국 교육에 요청되는 핵심 키워드를 선택한다면, 그것은 ‘연결’이라는 유기체적 개념이다. 이에 네 가지 차원에서 교육의 방향성을 제안하였다. ①유비쿼터스 교육생태계의 조성, ②내재적 가치에 관한 보다 깊은 성찰과 강화, ③자기 주도적·창의적·융합적 능력을 갖춘 인재 양성, ④생애교육 컨설턴트나 큐레이터와 같은 역할을 하는 교육자상 등이 그것이다. 이는 코로나 팬데믹 이후 한국 교육의 전환을 적극적으로 예고한다.

영문 초록

This paper analyzes the research trends related to education after the pandemic caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19), and examines the direction of education in Korea. First, the current status of the research size and keywords were derived through quantitative analysis of research trends. Second, the problems and alternatives of education methods in school after the pandemic were examined through major keywords and selected scholarly reviews. Third, it suggests an educational direction and establishment of a new educational ecosystem according to the altered environment. As a result, the education environment in the pandemic situation presents two major problems. One is the learning gap; it causes learning deficits which also leads to the lack of care that is needed for the learning gap. Another problem is the lack of interaction. Due to the severance of relationships, it causes various psychological and social problems as well as learning problems. Considering the suggested issues above, the main keyword for Korean education is ‘connection’. The paper will further discuss its educational direction in four dimensions as the following: ①to create a ubiquitous educational ecosystem, ②to reflect and reinforce the intrinsic value of education, ③to establish of a self-directed, creative and convergent image of talent and ④to construct the role of instructors who can be life-long education consultants or curators.
