국문 초록

본 연구는 전 국민을 대상으로 여론조사를 실시하여 공단에 대한 인지 정도, 범죄예방을 위한 활동에 대한 필요성 인식, 공단의 주요 지원사업에 대한 중요성인식에 대해 분석하여, 향후 법무보호제도의 홍보에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 전국의 만 18세 이상 남녀 1,000명으로 전화면접조사(CATI)를 활용한 표본조사를 실시하였다. 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 범죄발생에 대해 국민 절반 이상(51.8%)이 ‘우려’를 응답하였다. 또한 3년 전대비 범죄발생위험에 대해 국민의 약 절반(49.8%)이 ‘더 커졌다’라고 응답하였다. 정부의 범죄 예방노력에 대해는 ‘만족한다’는 응답이 10명 중 2명에 그쳤다. 공단의 인지도는 20%에 그쳤으나, ‘필요하다’는 인식은 평균 80% 정도로 나타나 공단사업의 필요성에 대해 객관적으로 증명되었다. 공단의 주요사업에 대한 중요도는 ‘직업훈련’ ‘가족지원’ ‘취업지원’ 순으로 나타났다. 성/연령대별, 주된 이용매체로는 20, 30, 40대는 인터넷 뉴스’, 50대 이상은 ‘TV 매체’로나타났다. 통계수치결과에 대한 구체적인 활용방안으로 ‘연령대별 뉴미디어 홍보’ 를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to derive implications that can contribute to the promotion of the legal protection system in the future by analyzing the level of awareness of the corporation, the need for crime prevention activities, and the importance of the Korea Rehabilitation Agency's major support projects. The subjects of the study were 1,000 men and women aged 18 years or older across the country who conducted a sample survey using a telephone interview (CATI). The main findings of the study are as follows: More than half(51.8 percent) of Koreans said they were “worried” about the crime. In addition, about half(49.8 percent) of the people responded that the risk of crime has increased compared to three years ago. Only two out of 10 said they were “satisfied” with the government's efforts to prevent crimes. The recognition of the Korea Rehabilitation Agency was only 20%, but the perception that it was “necessary” was 80% on average, objectively demonstrating the need for the Korea Rehabilitation Agency projects. The importance of major projects in the Korea Rehabilitation Agency was in the order of “vocational training”, “family support” and “employment support”. Internet news for those in their 20s, 30s, and 40s were mainly used by gender/age groups, and TV media for those in their 50s or older. As a specific measure of utilization of statistical figures, ‘promotion of new media by age group’ was proposed.
